Ursaluna is a New Pokemon in Pokemon Legends: Arceus that you'll need to complete your Pokedex. Getting an Ursaluna on your team is a bit tricky, as it requires catching and evolving an Ursaring using a peculiar method with a Peat Block. Here's how to find a Peat Block and how to evolve Ursaring into an Ursaluna.
The Ursaring there is a Level 41 Alpha Pokemon. If you aren't ready for a Pokemon of that level, there are Teddiursa, Ursaring's pre-evolution, in the same area. These are around Level 25, and will evolve into Ursaring at Level 30.
Now that you have an Ursaring, you can immediately evolve it into the Normal- and Ground-type Ursaluna - as long as you have the right item, a Peat Block. You won't be able to find this item, which only use is to evolve Ursaring, until you have calmed down the Noble Pokemon Ursaluna in the Crimson Mirelands, as part of the Main Mission Arezu's Predicament.
Partway through that mission, you'll gain the Noble Pokemon Ursaluna as a ride Pokemon. Its ability lets you sniff out treasure - including the illusive Peat Block. When the green radar coming from it turns orange, keep going in that direction until an exclamation point pops up above Ursaluna, which should stop you in your tracks. Press Y to dig. This has been the only method we've found Peat Block.
Peat Block can likely be found in other areas as well, but these are the only two locations we've had any luck finding it. They don't appear to spawn in the same spot, from day to day, or from person to person. If you'd like to "reset" the treasure spots, head back to camp and wait until morning. New spots should spawn, allowing you to continue your search.
Ursaluna has grown quite a bit since it was a cute and cuddly Teddiursa. Unfortunately its utility hasn't improved much for Pokemon Go; a combination of poor moves (mostly its Fast Moves), and subpar stats compared to existing meta Pokemon makes Ursaluna mostly a dex filler. A weakness to common Fighting-type damage doesn't make it very valuable for gym defense either.
Tackle is now a decently viable move thanks to an energy buff from the Season of Light update. It benefits from STAB and offers average damage output and energy generation. Rock Smash is a very bad move for PvP despite its useful typing.
Both Thunder Punch and Fire Punch are viable options for Ursaluna, and both could be considered simultaneously in some scenarios. While Ursaluna lacks STAB damage on both of them, the ability to access coverage options at relatively low energy costs is appealing. High Horsepower is recommended for its strong STAB damage, in addition to its wide coverage. It is typically a good idea to pair this with one of the elemental punches. Trailblaze offers counter-coverage to Water Types if Thunder Punch isn't used, and can self-buff Attack on use.
Ursaluna's performance is lackluster in PvP due to multiple common weaknesses, unimpressive bulk, and a much needed improvement to its moveset. Prior to its release, one of the best scenarios for Ursaluna was to obtain Shadow Claw as a Fast Move option. Unfortunately, Tackle and Rock Smash simply don't cut it for Ursaluna, with most matchups against the meta ended up as losses.
Additional stats from Ultra League helps to lift Ursaluna up a bit, though its main drawbacks are still present. The benefit of Normal typing is more evident in Ultra League with more common Ghost-types, but Ursaluna leans towards niche more than meta.
Ursaluna is much more suitable for Master League thanks to its impressive stats, approaching almost 4000 CP at level 40. In this league, the lack of Grass-types benefits Ursaluna, since it has fewer weaknesses to be concerned about. Common Dragons and Fighting-type Pokemon have both good stats and more efficient (or effective) moves than Ursaluna, which is the main drawback. Overall Ursaluna is a good consideration for Master League, and is relatively cheap compared to other Pokemon thanks to resources obtained from its Community Day.
How to use: You need to know your Pokemon's exact level. To find exactly what level your Pokmon is, power up your Pokmon following this chart until you're certain of your level from Stardust cost changes.

Traveling across Pokemon Legends: Arceus' Hisui region can be a little time-consuming on foot due to its vast size. Thankfully, however, players are able to speed things up a little by riding on the back of certain Pokemon. Initially, they'll only be able to do this with Wyrdeer, but, as the main story progresses, they'll eventually be able to ride other Pokemon as well, including the new Ursaring evolution, Ursaluna.
Ursaluna is a little slower than Wyrdeer, and it isn't able to jump or dash on command either. It does offer something that Wyrdeer doesn't, however, with Ursaluna able to track buried treasure and people. With this in mind, it's arguably the most useful ridable creature in Pokemon Legends: Arceus. This guide will explain how to ride Ursaluna, as well as how its treasure-finding ability works.
Before players can ride Ursaluna, they'll first need to beat it in battle in order to calm its enraged state. This happens in the Crimson Mirelands area towards the end of story mission 8, with the Normal / Ground-type Pokemon being level 26 at the time. It's weak against Fighting, Water, Grass, and Ice-Type attacks, so beating it should be fairly straightforward, especially for those who chose Rowlet or Oshawott as their starter Pokemon.
After beating Ursaluna, its Warden, Calaba, will suggest playing the Celestica Flute, which will cause the Pokemon to hand over the Earth Plate. From here on out, players will be able to ride Ursaluna by pressing right on the D-Pad to select it and then the + button to begin riding. Alternatively, players can start riding Wyrdeer first and then use the D-Pad to switch to Ursaluna instead.
While riding Ursaluna, players may notice some sonar-like waves coming from the Pokemon's head. Most of the time these waves will be green, but if there's any buried treasure nearby they'll be yellow, orange, or red instead. They'll also become larger in size and more frequent in tempo the closer players get to the treasure, with the controller also vibrating. If Ursaluna is tracking a person rather than an item, the waves will be blue in color.
In order to find treasure with Ursaluna, players should spin around and head in the direction in which the waves are darkest in color. Ursaluna will let them know that they're heading in the right direction too, as the Pokemon will speed up whenever it's facing in the right direction. Upon reaching the right spot, players will then have the option to press the Y button and Ursaluna will dig up the treasure.
Ursaluna can dig up just about anything, from scraps of iron to valuable evolution stones and items. Considering the latter can set players back more than 1,000 Merit Points each at the exchange in Jubilife Village, they represent a very good find. Of course, players can also find Evolution items inside space-time distortions, though as these appear completely at random, digging them up with Ursaluna is the more reliable of the two methods.
Just like in real life, the moon waxes and wanes in Legends: Arceus. You can speed this cycle along by sleeping till the next night in any base camp - just make sure you wait a couple of minutes for the moon to rise, so you can check which stage it's at.
Once you reach a night with a full moon, ensure you have a Peat Block in your inventory and then use it on Ursaring to make it evolve. This evolution can be completed in any of the biomes, so feel free to visit your favourite!
There are two main ways to get a Peat Block in Pokmon Legends: Arceus, with the first being digging it up while riding Ursaluna. Simply use Ursaluna's sensor to find hidden treasure and keep searching until you find a Peat Block; this may, however, take you some time, since the treasure is selected randomly.

Otherwise, grab some Quick Balls from the small shop to the west of the community centre and get catching. If you've beaten the base game, the Pokmon in the region will be level 55 and above, so you generally only need to level them up once to evolve them. It may take a bit longer if you haven't seen the credits of Scarlet & Violet, though, as the Pokmon scale to your level.
Once completed, Perrin will use the photos to scan for Bloodmoon Ursaluna while using you for a free psychiatric evaluation. Make sure your Pokmon are healed up before moving on because, once finished, Perrin will lead you right to the fearsome beast.#
About a decade ago, Lowell moved to Japan for a year or two but is still there, raising a Shiba Inu named Zelda with his wife while missing access to good burritos. He also has a love/hate relationship with Japanese role-playing games.
You spoke truths here. I was hoping that only Ogerpon would be Legendary, but there are four of them and, while I appreciate how they all have story and character, I think they still lack the narrative, scale and interactions to make them feel actually special considering its the main story. Ursablood on the other hand, its mood, power and design feels more like a legendary mystical beast. I was still hoping they would do more with its quest and Perrin's character besides a mini Pokemon Snap session tho. Everything happens too fast. It was just a side-mission after all.
