If you check "Enable PDF thumbnail previews in Windows Explorer" in Adobe Reader DC (latest version at the time of writing) and you put a PDF on the desktop, the thumbnail should only show the representation of your PDF (left) and not PDF on a white background (right).
I installed the fixes (w/ installer and with both the thumbnails and preview handler fix - this one states that the "value not found (this is normal on windows 7) message"), followed your instructions step by step, but in Windows Explorer, some PDF files only show the icon and other show the thumbnails with the white borders (which the fix supposedly resolves), and in the Desktop, the thumbnails still default to black...
My issue was not the same as OP, I simply wanted to remove the white borders of the preview thumbnails (as described in gmpeet's solution), and this seems to be the only solution for that indeed, as these white borders seem to be the native behaviour of Acrobat (which looks terrible on a non-white background, especially if the first page of the pdf is not white either...).
I've just installed Ubuntu 22.04(also 21.04). I used to install obs studio and Kazam to record my screen. In OBS-Studio if I select only window recording it records but the fullscreen option is not working recording only the cursor. Any solutions?
On this new computer, the VM boots but the guest screen goes totally black once in a while. I found out that I can do almost anything but when I go surfing the internet and I look at a video, it triggers the black screen. I surf with Chrome but I have tried others as well. In chrome, if I open a new tab and it shows a video then screen will go black but I can hit "CTRL-F4" to close that tab and the screen goes back to normal. If I leave the tab open, the screen remains black. Note that the guest OS reports the wrong time when this occurs, the time advances much faster while the screen is black and when screen comes back, the guest time is many minutes in the future.
Video AirPlay works in two modes. Basic AirPlay just sends the video URL to Apple TV which then streams it directly. This usually works best since there's no double transmission. You're using basic AirPlay when the video player on your device goes black and says "This video is playing on Apple TV". On a computer, you do this using the AirPlay icon that appears in the controls of a screen video player object, in the browser or other app. On iPad or iPhone, use the AirPlay controls on the right hand pane of the iOS 10 Control Center, or the AirPlay icon in the video player.
The other mode is Mirroring, which generates an H.264 video stream from the device frame buffer and transmits it over WiFi to Apple TV. This video compression inherently limits resolution, and may have trouble with fast motion. When you put the iPad or iPhone video player into full screen mode, mirroring automatically switches to basic AirPlay, and it seems to be impossible to prevent that from happening. On iPad or iPhone, mirroring is on the left hand pane of the iOS 10 Control Center. On a Mac computer, you access this mode from the AirPlay icon in the main menu bar. It lets you mirror the main display, or create a new display, extending the desktop. But remember that the data sent to the Apple TV is always being converted to a live video stream. Actual display frame buffer pixels are not transmitted, as they are to a directly connected monitor.
I have the same problem with my Macbook Pro, but not with iPad. Yesterday my MacBook Pro shut down and rebooted by itself. It is since then that I get a black screen on the TV when connected via AirPlay - always use "Mirror Built-in" but same with "Mirror Apple TV" and "use as a Separate Display". As with DenzelOntario I can hear the sound through the TV. This is regardless of whether I am trying to connect a video or simply see my computer desktop.
Hi. I also have this problem all of the sudden (worked for months previously). MacBook Pro 15" 2015 running Sierra 10.12.6. I tried the soft reset and it cleared it up for about a day. But now it is back. I have deleted any possible screen sharing programs (including GoToMeeting just to be safe). We have three Apple TVs in my office and I am the only one with this issue, everyone else in the office can connect to them all just fine.
Just noticed that if the Zwift ap on the laptop is set to be in a window rather than full screen then the pictures taken by Zwift auto capture and any I take with the companion app work just fine. Seems to be only when in full screen mode?
I had the same issue today after updating the graphics driver recently my computer booted then my monitor when into power save mode after the bios, I entered safe mode uninstalled all AMD stuff and then installed the last driver 21.3.2 and its all working again something is up with the latest driver I think.
I am having a similar Issue every day After I turn on my PC I get the bios post screen then the screen goes blank. If I boot into safemode or start the computer with the onboard graphics of the mobo I can see that the driver no longer works or is recognised by the AMD software, I uninstall it and re-install it and I am good until I shut down and turn it back on the next day. Really annoying and worrying.

To analyze an open system with a typical "black box approach", only the behavior of the stimulus/response will be accounted for, to infer the (unknown) box. The usual representation of this black box system is a data flow diagram centered in the box.
The opposite of a black box is a system where the inner components or logic are available for inspection, which is most commonly referred to as a white box (sometimes also known as a "clear box" or a "glass box").
The constitution and structure of the box are altogether irrelevant to the approach under consideration, which is purely external or phenomenological. In other words, only the behavior of the system will be accounted for.
Black box theories are those theories defined only in terms of their function.[9][10] The term can be applied in any field where some inquiry is made into the relations between aspects of the appearance of a system (exterior of the black box), with no attempt made to explain why those relations should exist (interior of the black box). In this context, Newton's theory of gravitation can be described as a black box theory.[11]
Specifically, the inquiry is focused upon a system that has no immediately apparent characteristics and therefore has only factors for consideration held within itself hidden from immediate observation. The observer is assumed ignorant in the first instance as the majority of available data is held in an inner situation away from facile investigations. The black box element of the definition is shown as being characterised by a system where observable elements enter a perhaps imaginary box with a set of different outputs emerging which are also observable.[12]
Hey there! Can you clean the contacts with rubbing alcohol and then plug the device back into the computer and hold the power button until the screen goes black. Then hold the power button again until you see the triangle and let go. Let me know if it reboots after these steps.
