It doesn't look like this is possible, but thought I'd ask: is there a way to determine who a task is assigned to?

Yeah I don't see it. I just tried it out (assigned a task to my wife's account) but I am not seeing anything that shows as such in the JSON output.

Hi Kris,

It sounds like you're looking for the 'participants' element of a task.  When a task is assigned, this element will contain a list of assigned contacts.  Note that the contact must have accepted the task from you before they will be listed as a participant. See the screenshot for an example.  (Note: I use JSON results...I assume XML is similar.)

Thanks Aaron. Though I believe participants will contain anyone who shares a list with you, so any task in a shared list will contain this, but there won't be an indication of whether or not the task is assigned to them/they accepted it.

Did she accept the task? It won't show up in the output until the assignee accepts. (That's been my experience, anyway.)

Good call. Forgot about that. I tested again and had her accept and I can see under participants.
