While Megan was active in many, many groups, I met her the first week
of my freshman year at Vassar. She was instrumental in introducing me
to life at school and supporting me then. She was well known and
well-loved at Vassar and with any luck the Vassar Community will
recognize her life and celebrate it.

Davida has been in contact with Sam Speers (sasp...@vassar.edu) and
Fran back at Vassar to try to set up a memorial of some kind. She's
suggested Sam as a single point-of-contact person for this. As we all
know, Megan was active in many different social and academic groups on
Campus. I've also been in touch with Liz Erkenbrack, who's currently
working in the Res Life office, and she's more or less directly in
touch with D.B. Brown, the dean of students. I think it would be
fantastic if AAVC or DB's office could send out a mass-email before the
funeral, as the single most efficient way of reaching everyone who knew
her at school, but I'm not sure that's necessarily realistic.

More updates to follow, I hope.
