I'm not exactly sure how to start this in a creative manner so I guess
the best strategy is to just jump into it. We're breaking up. To some
of you, this may come as a big surprise but to those closest to us,
this is something that has been a long time coming. As anybody in a
band will tell you, being a part of a group is no different than being
in any type of serious relationship. There are compromises,
disagreements, joys, heartaches and challenges. Yet, in every
relationship one must question whether the best times lie ahead or in
the past. Collectively, I think we realize that the greatest times for
Remember August are in the past, and on that note, we realize it is
unhealthy to continue with something simply because it is easier than
letting go.

Just as countless other bands will say upon breaking up, this really
did become so much greater and stronger than we could have ever
imagined. From adding drum parts to the Storybook Ending songs, to
playing the Warped Tour, our dream, on four separate occasions, this
band went from a dream to a reality very quickly. So quickly, in fact,
that we may have compromised our own happiness for aspirations of
something more. We started this band because we loved making music and
wanted to be on stage and I feel that in some respects, we forgot this
along the way. Who we are as people in August of 2007 is far different
from who we were as people in August of 2004. However, with that being
said, the one thing that remains constant is how much this band means
to us all. Undoubtedly, that is the main reason we are making this
decision now, rather than five years from now. In our hearts and
minds, we want this band to be inseparably linked with the greatest
times of our young lives. That's what it was.

We will forever associate this band with scream along choruses,
adrenaline soaked live shows, lifelong friendships and something that
was greater than the sum of its parts. We hope you will do the same.

We will be saying goodbye on Friday October 5th at South Arm Community
Hall in Richmond. We will be joined by our friends in the Februarys
and Lights Below. For anybody who has been a part of this journey with
us, please come out and share this with us one last time.
