iOS-Version: Fill in the gaps does not work as it used to

Fill-in-the-gap (Vernebelung) does not work correctly, maybe after one of the last iOS-updates. I still can create gaps but cannot fill them by tapping on them. Is this a (new) bug or can I change any settings?
