can't sync

Hello, I can't sync my verses.  I've tried logging out and logging back in. That hasn't helped. In fact when i log out I can still see my verses in the background behind the log in window and when I log in again and click ok I can't close that window in the foreground. Instead I am led to the window for deleting my account. The only way to get out of that is to go into my mobile settings and stop the app. When I restart I am logged in and can see everything but still haven't synchronised. Any ideas?

● In the Remember Me app (Android), open the account settings (menu -> Account). There should be no verses in the background, but the account settings. 
● Click on "Logged in as.." and tap on the exit symbol in the top right corner to log out. If you still see verses in the background, please send me a screenshot.
● Log in again, and navigate back to the verse list

So, I got a new phone for Christmas and downloaded the app. When I log out and back on the verses are not visible in the background.  And on my new phone the current verses all downloaded and are up to date. However, online the verses are still stuck at the stand of approx. 5. September.  Pressing synchronise on my phone doesn't change that. On my browser the stand always remains the same.  (ps I am writing this for my husband's phone so it is not the email address or user name I am writing under. I'd be happy to mail you those but I can't click on "reply to author". It says I'm not authorised.
