Thanks Janet!
All of those look possible at the moment, but my instinct is for the Saturday - because we already have a regular Co-make day on Saturdays, there is an existing community of people that come regularly and would spread the word if they know something different is happening on a given week. Also, if new people come, they will get to see other things going on in the space - people making furniture and sewing etc - so will get an idea of what the Remakery is, whereas on a Tuesday night there wouldn't be anything else happening (unless we organised something else). I guess the down side could be that there'd be some background noise (saws, drills etc) but we could keep that to a different part of the space - maybe you at the front in reception and the Co-make stuff going on behind, in the workshops. Only snag is that currently some of the Co-make work is in the reception area and cannot really be moved - like the reception desk and office partitions need finishing - but it looks likely they will have been completed before your event happens. Actually we could deliberately make it a deadline and make the Restart Party a sort of little launch event, at least for the reception and "cafe" area even if the workshops are not finished.
If you'd rather have the focus just on the Restart Party, we can go for one of the Tuesdays. Probably the 25th to give us a better chance of having more of the space finished before then!
Re the heating situation... We don't have any heating as yet and don't have budget to install it in the foreseeable future (although the architects did design to have a wood-stove central heating system that would burn waste wood, which we would like to install if / when we have the funding). However we find that the space is already at quite a comfortable temperature (especially in the middle, workshop zone) just by having the internal glass partitions in place and the perspex hoardings on the front. We still have not had the front (Lilford Road) windows installed and there are a few technical and budget wrangles to sort out before that will happen, so I can't guarantee the front will be glazed by the date of your event - it is certainly possible that it could be though, and I'll push for it. The current perspex hoardings are not pretty but they do provide an adequate level of draft protection and the place feels noticeably warmer than outside, almost as if it was heated (the flats on top provide a lot of "insulation" and the hot water pipes running through the garages leaking heat also help!)
Sorry we can't provide a fully finished space just yet, but hey you did say "pop up"!
Am excited about it...
