Mark, Anna, other interested parties,

As mentioned in last night's meeting six masters level engineering students from UCL are working on the above with Remakery as their 'client', until sometime around March next year.

They visited the Remakery at the start of their project and we've been meeting regularly on Thursdays.

Mark tomorrow it's at 11am and I assume I'll meet you inside the gates to UCL on Gower St, wc1e 6bt, at 10.55.  Anyone else also welcome - let me know - 07736 475214.

Below some more about what they're doing - can everyone look at INFO FROM US please?

Colin

BACKGROUND
I attach the initial brief which they were given as context / so that they could make a choice of which of several projects to work on.  For most we were their first choice.  Inevitably once they've got into it they've exploded the brief to try to tailor it more to what Remakery needs (original brief was written partly by course coordinator).

There's an overall aim to create a live database / website that deals with materials coming into and out of the Remakery.  They have also partly hooked up with a group of second years (various disciplines) who are trying to create an app and/or website to enable 'waste' or upcycled products to be redistributed.

The masters group have split into materials supply side looking at existing R+R centres, what's in them, what happens, how Remakery can impact, and local businesses to see what we might get form them; and materials/products demand side looking for direct buyers of materials from Remakery and where the products will go to to be sold.

INPUT FROM US
Would be very useful to them if we could pool our local knowledge and reuse knowledge to provide as much as possible on:
- contacts at reuse and recycling centres: Lambeth / Southwark / Smugglers Way?
- local businesses from whom Remakery might receive useful stuff that they want to dispose of?
- local businesses who might want to buy reclaimed materials?
- local shops/markets etc who might sell remade products?
