Hi all,

At the Comms and FGB meetings the last couple of nights, there's been some discussion about when we should hold the Xmas party and it hasn't been finalised yet, so I'd like to check in for some feedback on the options!

Option 1: Thurs 12 Dec.
This was agreed at the last directors meeting but given that the party will be held mainly or entirely in Zone C, I'm a bit concerned that the installation of the front glazing may not be complete by then. (We also need to make sure the toilet plumbing is finished by then - Neville is getting on with it - and preferably also the tiling... and having the Co-make elements such as the cafe furniture and office partitions completed is desirable.)
Pete, what do you think about this timing?

Option 2: Weds 18 Dec.
I wasn't sure if this would be viable as I'll be in Austria from 15-18 Dec, doing the EcoProfit training with One Planet Ventures. However my flight details have just been confirmed and it looks like I can be back at the Remakery from about 2pm on the 18th, so at least I can be around for the afternoon to help set up the space for the party.

Option 3: Thurs 19 Dec.
Pro: it's about as late as we can get before Xmas, so gives us the best chance of completing things beforehand. It's also a Thursday so the usual social night.
Con: Mark O is lending his soundsystem to Bua for a party somewhere else that night, which means a) we'd need to find another soundsystem and b) Bua wouldn't be there, which is a shame as he's one of our longest standing volunteers and among the founders.

I'm tentatively in favour of the 18th, but open to feedback - I know there's lots of other parties around that time so don't want to clash with anything crucial.

Another question is whether we combine our own Christmas party with hosting the Green Community Champions one, as Anna said the GCCs were looking to join forces with someone else for their party. Anna, did you get any feedback on this from the Sustainability Forum last night, and was there a preferred date?

Thanks all!

Hannah

Hi Hannah, any of those dates work for me.

I can't make Thu 19th; other dates are good.

Emily happy to include GCCs and Sustainability Forum keen to join rather than organise a separate one. Any date works for those groups, 18th or 19th is best for me I think.
