According to the GSMA, operators are expected to spend $900 billion worldwide between 2021 and 2025 in mobile capital expenditures (CapEx), roughly 80% of which will be in 5G and much of it could run on cloud infrastructure. Operators moving to the cloud can save on hardware and development, benefit from cloud-enabled automation and data analytics, and manage real-time responses and peak traffic on demand. The delivery of new services can be accelerated through cloud-driven AI and IoT.

1. Choose a hotspot device or hotspot plan: AT&T offers dedicated mobile hotspot devices, like the Netgear Nighthawk, or you can use the hotspot feature on your AT&T smartphone. Make sure you have a compatible data plan that supports hotspot usage.

The Nighthawk mobile hotspot, specifically, is a portable device that provides fast and reliable internet connectivity by connecting to a cellular network and creating a Wi-Fi network for other devices to access.

The Nighthawk hotspot offers advanced features like long battery life, multiple device connections, and robust security options, making it a popular choice for users seeking a powerful and reliable mobile internet solution.

A mobile hotspot is a device that connects to a wireless network in the same way that a smartphone does. It then uses that connection to broadcast a Wi-Fi signal and provide wireless internet to nearby devices.

Southwestern Bell Corporation (SBC) was one of the companies created by the breakup of AT&T Corp.[34] The company soon started a series of acquisitions, including the 1987 acquisition of Metromedia mobile business and the acquisition of several cable companies in the early 1990s.[citation needed] In the latter half of the 1990s, the company acquired several other telecommunications companies, including two Baby Bells (Pacific Telesis Group and Ameritech Corporation),[35] while selling its cable business. During this time, the company changed its name to SBC Communications Inc.[36] In early 1997 C. Michael Armstrong was named CEO, and Armstrong appointed John Zeglis as president later in that same year. By 1998, the company was in the top 15 of the Fortune 500, and by 1999, when Zeglis assumed the positions of chairman and CEO of AT&T Wireless, AT&T was part of the Dow Jones Industrial Average (lasting through 2015).[37][38] Zeglis ended his service as president of AT&T in 2001 and resigned from his positions in AT&T Wireless in 2004.

As of 2019,[update] AT&T is the world's largest telecommunications company.[81] AT&T is also the largest provider of mobile telephone[82][83] services and the largest provider of fixed telephone services in the United States.[84]

Another key difference between AT&T and Xfinity is the bundling options. Though AT&T is a famous cellular company, it does not offer bundled plans between its home internet and its wireless, mobile service. AT&T also no longer offers the DISH network as a bundle with its home internet service and therefore customers must purchase internet, TV and mobile service separately.
