I have had 2 clients recently who bought an instant download tutorial from my shop. Both are saying they cannot access it. I always send them instructions how to download by going to their account and look under purchases and reviews. Both claim their purchase isn't there. Could this be a technical issue. i would like to see this issue resolved as I prefer not to send it by email.
Buyers also have to be logged in under the same account that they placed the order under. Problems can arise when users purchase downloads as a guest or using an Apple ID, FaceBook or Google or a different Etsy account. Some people create multiple Etsy accounts deliberately, some not so deliberately (they may not even be aware they did it).
I've given up on trying to troubleshoot when users have problems downloading, and I just send them their download via Etsy messaging with an offer to email it if they confirm the email address to be used.
Buyers don't want to know why there's a problem or what caused it, they only want their product. I've set up message snippets so I don't have to write lots of text each time, I just input the buyers name into the snippet, add the download and send. It only takes a minute or two and the problem is resolved.
Edited to add: I would estimate that less than 5% of my buyers have some sort of issue with downloading, and the problems seem to come in waves. A week will go by with no issues, and then one day I'll have three buyers with problems. No idea if that's just chance, or some sort of Etsy glitch.

I've been working with a customer on several cards for instant download. She placed the order and then asked how long it would take before she could download them. I didn't know what to say... I thought it was, you know... "instant." I'm wondering if someone can shed some light on this. Not sure if she just isn't seeing how to download it, or if it has to be approved by content management or what.
If anybody knows how it works, or maybe has a screenshot of what it looks like after you place the order so I can point her in the right direction, that would be super helpful.

After straining my brain reading instant download posts from z, the only thing I found that even come close to answering your question----Nowhere in any of the Z instant download announcements, faqs, does it say anything about the time involved when and after ordering.

Once the customer purchases the Instant Download, they will receive a private link to a copy of your design where they can edit the template details as well as download the flat file (.JPG, .PNG, .PDF) to their device to share with loved ones to celebrate their life's moment.
It says in the instructions "they will receive a private link" so I suppose it would be found in the customer's email. I've gotten a lot of "you will receive a link" items (usually when changing a password) and sometimes it takes up to 5 minutes before it gets to my email. This is assuming that's how it works.
Well, this was several hours - she ordered 3 invitations (the weren't actually all invitations, but I put them on invitations so they'd be downloadable.) Anyhow, 2 of them were pretty much instantly available, but on the third there was some message saying it would be available soon. After a few hours she contacted customer support and I asked her to let me know when it was resolved, but I never heard back so I don't know what happened.
I do have one guess though. The one that was delayed was actually a re-order of the same product she'd purchased for download a few days earlier. She had changed her mind about the colors and I guess she didn't realize that she could edit the one she already bought. Anyhow, I'm guessing that it got flagged for that reason - and once I realized all that I told her that she didn't need to buy it again, that she could just edit the one she already bought, but since I don't really know how it works, I'm not sure if she now has two different products in her order history or what.
At any rate, I'm wondering if there's a help page or something with instructions on how this all works, because I'm really not sure how to advise people if they need to make changes to a download that they've already bought, and something about the process was clearly confusing to at least this particular customer.
If you are reading this article, you are probably asking yourself how and where to print the fabulous invitations or the digital print you purchased (or are considering purchasing) from a designer on Etsy.
Computer screens interpret color in RGB mode, while printers interpret color in CMYK mode. Thus, there will always be slight variances between colors you see on screen and how they appear printed. Typically, colors always appear less vibrant when printed. Output devices complicate the printing process even further, as different ones interpret color in different ways.
PDF, on the other hand, does not rasterize text and graphics like JPEG does, which allows for a more clean and sharp image. For this reason, PDF is the best choice when ordering invitations, stationery, prints, etc.
Hi Oksana!
I want to thank you so much for this post. I purchased a digital download from Etsy today. It was 5 different pages, mostly text with a few graphics. The first 2 printed fine and then all of a sudden my printer would not print the rest.
Hi,
I am just now entering the world of transfers, and I ordered a couple of prints that are digital downloads. How do I print them, and on what kind of paper so that I can transfer them to shirts, pillows, etc with a heat press?
Hi, All I want to do is altered journal books, and collages. I bought a few digital downloads and I want to know do I take them to Staples? I have a color printer but what type of paper do I use? I am new to this so please tell me what is best way.
Thank you so much! I have always liked prints on Etsy, but never purchased them. And now, I found the perfect card for my friend (and no one else makes a similar one on Etsy).
I really want it to look nice since it is going with her baby shower gift.
Again, thank you for this guide!
This article was so helpful, thank you! I bought a lot of cute signage on Etsy for my wedding and I did not know the best place to print it. This was a huge help. :) Also, so glad I stumbled across your Etsy site too!
Hey there, sorry for my delayed response! Adobe InDesign and Illustrator are two programs commonly used by designers for print or illustrative work. Both are professional, industry-standard design software that non-designers generally have no interest investing in or learning, and because it sounds like you are still testing the waters, so to speak, I would recommend practicing with something more simple, like canva.com. As for printing gold foil, the process for doing so is more complicated than general printing and requires special equipment. Research professional, online printing services that offer the gold foil option to see which gives you the best value for your money. Hope this helps!

Im having telegram on my windows 7 desktop machine.
I wanted to know is there a way to disable the "automatic media download" option that exists in telegram desktop? which causes the app to download all photoes and voices at the moment that the screen reaches them.
The telegram which is on android platform has an option in its settings in which you can untick photo and audio inorder to prevent it from auto downloading such media, but there is no such option in the settings of the desktop version.
Any help would be appreciated.
unlike the older versions of telegram, the newer version has automatic media downloads in advanced setting and not in chat settings. thussFIRST open SETTINGS then click on ADVANCED then look for AUTOMATIC MEDIA DOWNLOADS. under it you will see ( in private charts, in groups, in channels) click on them to set your automatic download preferences for each of them
