Hello,

I am now searching a method to send data via COM port in FoxPro
2.6 under WIN95.

Originally I think I can do this by using FOPEN('COM1',2) to open
the com port for a read/write operation, just liked what I did
before in Foxpro for DOS. However, I tried for many time but it
still cannot succeed.

After studying the HELP, I noticed that FoxPro for WINDOWS
does not allow opening the COM port with low level file function.
This should be the reason why i can't send data through COM port.
Then, I got a dll file from my colleage which contians functions
of data communication in WINDOWS. However, I cannot include this
functions in my program by SET LIBRARY command. Seems that FoxPro
2.6 for WINDOWS does not support dll file.

Is there any place I can get some library (*.FLL) for data comm.
in FoxPro 2.6 for WINDOWS? Or is there method to do data comm.
in FoxPro?

Anyone can help me to solve the problem? I really need help to
solve the problem! :~(

Thanks. (Please email reply to me if possible, I do not check
newsgroup frequently. Thanks.)

Regards,

I am also looking FVP5 routines for Z-Modem. I have found a company
that is selling a product called "Comm Tools" there name is Hallogram,
Inc. at (US) 303-340-3404 or (WEB) www.hallogram.com. The product
sells for $299. I was hoping for something a bit freer ;)
