Weoffer both introductory and advanced short courses worldwide and online for manual therapists and movement professionals of all modalities. Learn Anatomy Trains theory alongside structural and functional anatomy and analysis, fascial release techniques, as well as fascial training and movement skills.
The summer course program offers a lineup of short courses from Tom Myers and guest faculty held on our beautiful coastal Maine campus. Learn from luminaries from the worlds of manual therapy and movement training in our peaceful classroom in the woods.
Anatomy Trains in Motion has been developed by Karin Gurtner specifically for movement professionals who want to broaden their professional horizon and skills in anatomy and structural integration through movement.
The integral anatomy of the myofascial meridians is explained in interactive lectures and experienced through body-minded movement applications. For a clear comprehension of the structural and functional aspects, anatomical structures are discussed individually and as part of a myofascial meridian that shapes posture, movement and how we feel about the body.
To further connect anatomy and function, science-informed fascial qualities are exemplified and embodied with deliberate exercise examples throughout the course. In a unique way, Anatomy Trains in Motion directly links the anatomy of the myofascial meridians with the essential events of walking and body-minded movement training.
Because we want to foster independent thinking and individualized learning, we encourage an inquisitive mind and facilitate understanding through movement explorations.
Concluding the course, you will have a clear understanding of why the myofascial meridians are defined the way they are and why the Anatomy Trains concept is of immense value for all body-minded movement methods that aim for structural integrity.
An amazing course! I enjoyed every moment and mostly it opened my mind and organized a lot of vague things. I recommend the course to any mover or therapist, anatomy lover or anyone who is interested in him/herself and his/her body- a true springboard!
This course was designed for the fitness professional, clinician, massage therapist, anatomy enthusiast and high performance athlete interested in combining the latest in fascia science with effective self-treatment strategies that can be shared with clients and used for your own self-care practice.
Conclusion: This was my first AT course. I learned a lot. I signed up because I really want to understanding anatomy better. This only whetted my appetite to sit down with my existing base of ST knowledge and see how I can better understand why the stretches work the way they do. This workshop has also inspired me to develop new ways of looking at our stretches to alter the ways they affect the fascia.

Join Thomas Myers as he presents a whole new perspective on the human body. Anatomy Trains Myofascial Meridians is a unique new map of the fascial connections through the muscles that leads to new understanding of the connectivity in the body, and directly to new therapeutic strategies, especially for long-standing compensatory patterns in client stance and movement.
Tom Myers, BCSI, directs Anatomy Trains, which offers certification in Structural Integration in the US, Australia, and Europe, as well as short courses in manual therapy and functional anatomy worldwide. He is the author of Anatomy Trains (2020, 4th ed), and co-author of Fascial Release for Structural Balance (2017, 2nd ed). The Anatomy Trains myofascial meridians, which connect the muscles through the fascial fabric, is increasingly employed in a wide variety of rehabilitation and performance enhancement modalities. Tom studied directly with Ida Rolf and Moshe Feldenkrais, as well as Buckminster Fuller, movement luminaries, and European osteopaths. He has practiced Structural Integration for over 40 years in a wide variety of clinical and cultural settings. Learn more at

For a decade Karin divided her living and teaching time between Switzerland and Australia. She developed the Certificate IV and Diploma in Contemporary Pilates, as well as a series of functional anatomy workshops; both the Certificate IV and Diploma in Contemporary Pilates are nationally accredited courses in Australia.
During the same time, on a sunny day in Western Australia, Karin read the first pages of Anatomy Trains. Reading the book opened a whole new world of possibilities. After certifying in Kinesis Myofascial Integration and becoming an Anatomy Trains teacher, Karin developed Anatomy Trains in Motion; a joint venture between Tom Myers, James Earls and Karin.
