The Council of Africa is a Pan-African international development organization dedicated to increasing the scale and effectiveness of impact investing, promoting enterprise driven growth and liberty centered development, and fostering socioeconomic transformation and integration of Africa into a broad, prosperous and sustainable continental economy. Our goal is to mobilize and engage a community of private enterprises, foundations, nonprofits, investors, multinational development agencies, and the governments, to make increased impact-and-mission related investments with the aim of achieving measurable and sustainable environmental, socioeconomic and governance benefits, while generating long term financial returns.
The African Enterprise Institute is a continental public policy think-tank and enterprise capacity development center dedicated to defending human dignity, expanding human potential, and building a freer, safer and more prosperous Africa. Our work advances ideas rooted in our belief in democracy, free enterprise, African strength and solidarity with those at the periphery of our society, and a pluralistic, entrepreneurial culture. The institute is committed to making the intellectual, moral, and practical case for expanding freedom, increasing individual opportunity, and strengthening the free enterprise system in Africa. Our work explores ideas that further these goals, and the institute scholars take part in this pursuit with academic freedom. Rigorous, data-driven research and broad-ranging evidence fuel our scholars’ conclusions.
In keeping with the above mandates, the Council of Africaand the African Enterprise Institute invite you to the Uganda CEO Forum, which is scheduled for April 5, 2018 at the Hotel Africana in Kampala. The theme of the 2018 edition of the Uganda CEO Forum is “Increasing Access to Trade Finance and Impact Investments in Uganda”.
