We have an exciting opportunity to support a young woman and/or young man from selected countries to participate in a Pre Youth Forum and Human Rights Council in June here in Geneva, Switzerland. I am connecting with you with the hope that
We have a scholarship for young people from Benin, Malawi, Uganda to fully participate. The scholarship is open for applicants who will be 18 to 29 years of age on 1 June 2017. It would to cover the costs (flights, visa, accommodation) and give access to both the Youth Forum and the HRC from 1 -8 June 2017. The deadline for applications is 5 April 2017.
We encourage fellow youth to apply now to make their voice heard at the next Youth Forum at the UN Human Rights Council in Geneva, Switzerland! The UN Human Rights Council (HRC) is one of the most important international mechanisms to strengthen the promotion and protection of human rights around the world. The Youth Forum takes place on 2 June, right before the 35’th session of the HRC. It will be the occasion to join 150 young people from around the world to discuss, debate and draft a declaration to be presented during HRC.
