Python and Big Data Developer

Required Skills:
• Strong background building complex analytics applications with Python
• The ability to develop analytical solutions from use cases
• Experience in a big data environment such as HortonWorks or Cloudera
• Background in Java – building applications as a REST API and AWS
• Skills developing Pig and Hive

Preferred Skills:
• Experience in the python ecosystem such as anaconda, Wakari, Numpy, Scipy
• Experience building machine learning applications with scikit-learn
• Some exposure to data visualization tools - including Tableau or Bokeh Experience using packaged analytics tools such as Mahout or MLlib,
• Exposure to real time analytics tools such as Spark or Storm
• Experience using packaged search tools such as Solr and elasticsearch
