If you have received a new license key, add the LK to your EBA account and send a software activation task with the new LK selected to clients. It's also possible that you didn't receive a new LK and the ESET partner converted the trial license to a full license on the backend; in that case you wouldn't have to do anything.

I registered a trial version on a private e-mail address and started ESET PROTECT Cloud on it. I bought the paid version on a different, business e-mail address. On the EBA assigned to the private address, I can see both (trial and paid) licenses. On EP Cloud, where you can define tasks suggested by you, I only see a test version. Should I register the EBA at a business address?

The paid license that you have bought does not allow you to use ESET PROTECT Cloud. You should have purchased "ESET PROTECT Entry" without the "on-prem", as that is only limited to use on-prem deployed ESET PROTECT console. Unfortunately you will have to upgrade your license.

Hello so basically i was doing my thing until eset decided to send me a pop up telling my trial license was about to expire, but it already expired since a month so i was like wait what?? then after i inspected more the pop up it said my license gonna expire in -17 days which i think is kinda funny of seeing this message appear and no idk how that happened netheir why it did but it did and no it isn't a modified (It in french but it basically says my license gonna expire in -17 days as i said earlier on) here is the pop up i had (Still have it on my screen as i am typing this but will remove it soon)

Your trial version expired 16 days ago and module updates stopped . As a result, real-time protection was disabled. Windows Defender was supposed to re-activate automatically. Malware is running on your computer:

Also i found a way to have infinite trial license on eset, basically you uninstall eset, then remove all resedual file and then re install it and click free trial and use another email and have another 30 days for free without paying, i don't know if a lot of user know that but that what i do since, uhhh i don't know how many time and i was gonna do it for re having a protection again also thanks for telling my i had a trojan applauncher.exe i will look it up

I don't know but i am pretty sure it is also idk how a big av company didn,t saw a bug like this allowing ppl to use it for free every 30 days also no i won't share this method to youtube or anything else since well it isn't really good for eset netheir to have user that abuse of a bug to reset the trial i think they should do a method like kaspersky that makes a registry that kaspersky and other app to uninstall don't detect to prevent trial resseter that easy

Yes it could be a glitch or ESET does this to get more users with their product.
In reality, it is very difficult to know what is happening, since it could be avoided like other products normally do.

So yes, I wanna ask about what will happen after the trial ends, does it automatically renew the license and charge, or does it just disable itself and that's it? I'm having a very urgent issue rn and need to scan my PC, but I don't intend to use it any further than a second opinion scanner.

Sorry, I'm not talking about the protection, I'm talking about the license. I'm asking if the license of the product would renew itself after the free trial and charge me (which I hope won't happen) or would it automatically be cancelled?

If you have no intention of purchasing the product and just want a second opinion type scanner you could avoid all these issues and use Eset's Online Scanner to accomplish what you're trying to do without worrying about a license.

Generally if you need to use a credit card to get a free trial you will be entering into an auto renewal service and be billed when the free trial ends. So if you have provided credit card details then you will need to cancel the service yourself.

I installed eset internet security yesterday, as a security addition to windows defender. Later that night I engaged the gaming mode to play some games. And today I wake up and someone was messing with my steam account. The pc stayed on as I fell asleep watching a movie after gaming.

Gamer mode activates when an application running in full-screen mode is detected. With GM active, module updates as well as all other scheduled tasks are suspended and no notifications or alerts pop up but are silently blocked and logged. However, the product continues to receive pico (streaming) updates to ensure that you are protected against latest threats.

With ESET Internet Security installed, the firewall blocks all inbound communication by default so an adversary should not be able to connect to your machine unless you permit the connection from outside. Even in GM such inbound connection attempt would be blocked.

Hello installed Eset Nod32 AV version 16.0 trial to test, because I need good AV for Win7 Machine and I will never update to Win10 or Win11 because I see them in action on my friend new computer and they are ultra slow compared to my old Win7 PC, sorry for Micro$oft, this is true ?

The pcap log doesn't seem to be from an activation attempt. The only communication logged was with ESET's EPNS servers. There was no DNS communication nor TLS communication with activation servers. Are you certain that you started logging with Wireshark and then attempted to activate ESET? Could you try to create one more pcap log?

To evaluate ESET Internet Security before making a purchase, select Free trial. Type your email address and country to activate ESET Internet Security for a limited time. Your trial license will be emailed to you. Trial licenses can only be activated once per customer.

And now I can set up Surun to remember that egui.exe should run with admin rights. Without that I can't change any settings. Do you have any knowledge about Eset compatibility problems with Surun? Or any suggestions problems when using standard account?

OK. Now I think Eset & Surun are not fully compatible. Now after successful trial activate:
when I click any option It show me Surun Window not UAC, trying to run eeclnt.exe
but after that nothing happened.

Strange. I was running standard user as every day. And Eset gui was started by default autostart entry, and it doesn't show me UAC window, also as I descibed I'm using Surun, it's window also does not shows when I was clicking activate trial.

The fact is that when I was few first times trying to activate trial there was only Eset screen called "Veryfing" and loading circle. No e-mail ask Window, No UAC, no Surun Window, after about 10 mins return to main window.

And when you for example run Eset gui as default (standard user) and try to modify some settings, for example disable e-mail protection is Surun working for you?
For me it just show window Surun running eeclnt.exe, I click ok. and in GUI nothing change

I have end users on a trial licence. I added a paid licence in the business account console which is working. The users remain on the trial licence. I see no easy way to move them all to the paid licence unless I deactivate them and then log on to each computer and reactivate them. Is there not a way to reassign the licence from the cloud console?
