Hey ladies!!

K so I really wanna get the ball rolling on Rejeanas shower...honestly, our best bet is probably to just do it at her house cause there's no time limit, it's free, and we can go wild with decor! So for now lets say 1pm at rejeanas house in Sunday feb 23.

So who's a Harry Potter fan? Lol. I'm thinking we mimic the feel of Hogwarts and the great hall. Lots of antiques, candles, mystical looking stuff, and we can theme it black and gold with special symbols from each "house". Gold plates, black napkins, goblets, and a lot of really fun "Irish pub" type food. What do u guys think? Here are some pics :

image.jpeg
I especially love this!!!!
image.jpeg
Ok where do we get backdrops like that seriously? But those banners are so cool!
image.jpeg

Basically here's a list of what we need:

1) food (everyone can contribute at least one big food dish)

2) desserts (a dessert table would be fun?)

3) rentals - enough long tables and chairs for about 30 ppl

4) table ware and table decor

5) decor - centerpieces, a banner, dessert/snack table, table cloths, etc (we can pick a theme and each do one thing once we
Agree on a "look") anyone good at computer graphics that can make printables?

6) favors

7) games

I can be in charge of
The guest list and getting invitations out. I can also do all the tableware. I'll also bring one main dish and a dessert.

Just pick something and we can get down to the smaller details later. Sorry, I'm such a nut for party decor. I have so much fun with it!

K lets get the ideas rolling and the things solidified so we can start!

The first pic with the long table and candles in the bottle is perfect. Simple but classy. What type of food were you thinking?

Love the theme! It's a classy Harry Potter. I am good with graphics and can make things. Just give me ideas and I'll go off of that :)

As for now - Can we assign food dishes so that's taken care of? Since it really is just us bridesmaids plus Joari, please try to pick at least 2 dishes to bring (enough for 30 people). Maybe a side/appetizer plus a main dish?

I can make a super yummy salmon dish, cupcakes, and a veggie tray?

HI girls, sorry been under the weather since Vegas this past weekend (I caught the cold), sorry for the delay in writing back, I have been out of commission!

I can bring a hearty beef stew (with potatoes and other stuff) for the main dish and a chicken salad.

Yes! Definitely need a few harry potter themed drinks. And berry trifle sounds great.

Would u be able to do a side maybe? Or some finger foods?

I was gonna order some cute cupcakes from a friend..any and all other desserts are welcome!!! I love making dessert tables ...they're super fun to design.

Annie's going to be making a couple banners - one that says sweets, and another that says congrats. I'm gonna try to draw some diagrams of what I had in mind.

Kristina - I know you don't have time for crafty things...maybe u can be in charge of getting the rentals? 4 long tables and 30 chairs? I'll text u.

Hello ladies!

I have a recipe for a berry trifle that's really yummy, light and on the 'healthy side'.  Maybe I can bring that.  As for main dishes, I'm drawing  a blank.  I can't think of something good.  Any suggestions for what I could bring?

Are we still doing the dessert table? I've seen some pretty cool Harry potter -themed deserts on Pinterest that look really cute and delicious.  There is also Harry potter's butterbeer (recipe online) and other drinks, should we make special drinks too?

I might have some tables for you to borrow. I'll check this weekend on what kind I have.

I can make a pasta salad. And not sure what else. I can make some fruity punches and bring cases of water.

Ok so I figured we can divide décor it like this :

Ria - Food display  table and dessert table décor
Dez - Table Décor (Table Cloths, Tableware (plates silverware cups/goblets))
Gian - Centerpieces and (Glass bottles, candles, other pieces to display)
Annie - Banners / Wall décor
Michelle - Food and drink labels, Favor "thank u" tags
Kristina - Rentals (tables and chairs)
Joari - Favors
Stefan - You can come over and help me with the dessert table décor

On top of that, we'll all provide our dishes.

(Is there any one that wouldn't be in charge of running games/activities?)

Just wanting to delegate this so we can all start as soon as possible. Let me know if what I assigned you is going to be okay with you or not.
And feel free to ask for help/help others as well. If you have any vintage pieces you'd like to contribute that could go with the theme let me know! You can email in here for ideas as well.

Thank you!!
Ria

Great!! Glad we are all good with that.

Dez - I found some gold table cloths we can use! Unless u want a different color theme I was thinking gold and black? Do u wanna do black/old English looking table ware?

So here's the food list so far:

Ria: salmon, veggie tray, macaroons
Annie: beef stew, chicken salad
Michelle: pasta salad/ drinks
Gian: shrimp scampi and garlic bread
My mom: green bean casserole and scalloped potatoes
Joari - cheesy broomsticks & berry trifle

We could use a chicken dish? And more desserts!! I'm working on getting cupcakes with the deathly hallows symbol on them. Lol. If anyone has connects, some snitch cake pops would be cute! Or chocolate covered frogs?

Lemme know!

Thanks!!!

Ria

Can I see a pic of the gold table cloths? I like the theme of gold and black. I'll look for some gold plate ware and I'll try to find cool looking goblets. I was thinking of black tablecloths with a gold table runner. Gold plate ware and black goblets/drink ware. I can bring a chicken dish and another dessert. Still deciding on exactly what type though.

Hi everyone!!!! Just checking how everyone's projects are coming along and if anyone needs help/ has questions. I THINK we've got everything covered....

Dez- are u good with getting all the plates and utensils? How bout cups?

Can someone pick up ice on their way to rejeanas? (I would but I have a bunch of meltable stuff on my car and a ton of stops to make!)

And everyone is still good with the dishes they said they'd bring? Remember to cook enough for 30 ppl!

If you guys can , can you plan on being there at 11 so we can all set up? I'm gonna send rejeana away so she's surprised when she returns!

Let me know how everything is going and if u can come early! Thanks!!

Ria
