Dueto the recent vulnerability, I've created a quick deployment package to update or install Winrar to the latest version.

Please note that this is a simple install and I haven't tested it with a licensed version.

1. Download the E6Golf 1.5 Full Installer (8.8 GB). Note: Download could several hours depending on your internet speed.

2. Download and install WinRAR: -rar.com/fileadmin/winrar-versions/winrar/wrar521.exe. Note: This is the tool needed to extract E6GOLF after it is downloaded.

3. Create a new folder on your desktop and name it E6GolfRAR

4. Copy the the E6Golf 1.5 Full Installer (E6_Installer.rar) to the E6GolfRAR folder you created on the desktop.

5. Right Click on the E6_Installer.rar file located in the E6GolfRAR folder on the desktop, and select EXTRACT HERE. Run the e6installer.exe and follow the on-screen instructions.

A software protection dongle (commonly known as a dongle or key) is an electronic copy protection and content protection device which, when attached to a computer, unlocks software functionality or decodes content. This maybe required to run E6Golf 1.0-1.5.

E6Golf Support Portal requires you to create a login before submitting an incident. This allows you to stay in contact with our support team and quickly track the progress of your incident. You will also have access to our knowledge base of articles to find step-by-step instructions and solutions to common problems.

I would try downloading the portable version from blender.org there is no need to install it, just unzip it to wherever you want and run the blender executable. (you will probable have to give it permission to execute.)

I had installed winrar myself under wine and it works fine. But then I just tried something else, as I have kde3 also installed, still working from kde4 though, I used the kde3 ark and it works fine, though you have to choose open with - there is not extract to on right click, as there is in the kde3 desktop.

Do you have WinRAR installed on your Windows PC? Then you're probably vulnerable to attack. RARLab patched a dangerous security bug at the end of February 2019, but WinRAR doesn't automatically update itself. Most WinRAR installations are still vulnerable.

WinRAR contains a flaw that would let a .RAR file you download automatically extract an .exe file to your Startup folder. That .exe file would automatically be started the next time you sign into your PC, and it could infect your PC with malware.

Specifically, this flaw is a result of WinRAR's ACE file support. An attacker simply needs to create a specially crafted ACE archive and give it the .RAR file extension. When you extract the file with a vulnerable version of WinRAR, it can automatically place malware in your Startup folder without any additional user action.

This serious flaw was found by researchers at Check Point Software Technologies. WinRAR contained an ancient DLL from 2006 to enable support for ACE archives, and that file has now been removed from the latest versions of WinRAR, which no longer support ACE archives. Don't worry---ACE archives are very rare.

However, unless you've heard of this "path traversal" flaw already, you may be at risk. WinRAR doesn't automatically update itself. We're also extremely disappointed that WinRAR's website doesn't highlight information about this security flaw and instead buries it in WinRAR's release notes.

While an update was released back in February, this story is still picking up steam. Security researchers at McAfee had identified more than 100 unique exploits online by mid-March, with most users attacked being in the USA. For example, a bootlegged copy of Ariana Grande's album "Thank U, Next" with the filename "Ariana_Grande-thank_u,_next(2019)_[320].rar" available online is being used to install malware via vulnerable versions of WinRAR.

If you're not sure whether you have WinRAR installed, just perform a search in your Start menu for "WinRAR." If you see a WinRAR shortcut, it's installed. If you don't see a WinRAR shortcut, it's not.

Whatever unarchiving software you use, we recommend having a solid antivirus installed and enabled. Antivirus software can often spot malware like this and block it from being installed even if you're using vulnerable software, although security software isn't perfect and you can't count on it to catch every piece of malware online. That's why it's important to have a multi-layered defense strategy.

WinRAR is a Windows app that can both create and unpack dozens of compressed file formats. For example, if you download a file that ends with the .RAR file extension, WinRAR will easily decompress the file so you can view and edit what's inside. This wikiHow teaches you how to install the free trial version of WinRAR, plus how to upgrade to the paid version.

After you've prepared a Win32 app to be uploaded to Intune by using the Microsoft Win32 Content Prep Tool, you can add the app to Intune. To learn more about preparing a Win32 app to be uploaded, see Prepare Win32 app content for upload.

For the scenario of group policy enrollment, the user uses the local user account to Microsoft Entra join their Windows 10 device. The user must log on to the device by using their Microsoft Entra user account and enroll in Intune. Intune will install the Intune Management extension on the device if a PowerShell script or a Win32 app is targeted to the user or device.

Be sure to use the latest version of the Microsoft Win32 Content Prep Tool. If you don't use the latest version, you'll see a warning that says the app was packaged using an older version of the tool.

Installation time required: The number of minutes the system will wait for install program to finish. Default value is 60 minutes. If the app takes longer to install than the set installation time, the system will fail the app install. Max timeout value is 1440 minutes (1 day).

Allow available uninstall: Select Yes to provide the uninstall option for this app for users from the Company Portal. Select No to prevent users from uninstalling the app from the Company Portal.

Specify return codes to indicate post-installation behavior: Add the return codes that are used to specify either app installation retry behavior or post-installation behavior. Return code entries are added by default during app creation. However, you can add more return codes or change existing return codes.

Rules format: Select how the presence of the app will be detected. You can choose to either manually configure the detection rules or use a custom script to detect the presence of the app. You must choose at least one detection rule.

Script file: Select a PowerShell script that will detect the presence of the app on the client. The app will be detected when the script both returns a 0 value exit code and writes a string value to STDOUT.

Enforce script signature check: Select Yes to verify that a trusted publisher has signed the script, which will allow the script to run with no warnings or prompts displayed. The script will run unblocked. Select No (default) to run the script without signature verification.

The Intune agent checks the results from the script. It reads the values written by the script to the STDOUT stream, the standard error (STDERR) stream, and the exit code. If the script exits with a nonzero value, the script fails and the application detection status isn't installed. If the exit code is zero and STDOUT has data, the application detection status is installed.

We recommend encoding your script as UTF-8. When the script exits with the value of 0, the script execution was successful. The second output channel indicates that the app was detected. STDOUT data indicates that the app was found on the client. We don't look for a particular string from STDOUT.

App dependencies define a relationship between apps where one app requires one or more dependent apps to be installed. If Intune has not yet installed an app on a device, any apps configured as dependent apps must be installed first. If an app is already installed on a device, Intune will install any newly configured dependent apps, that are configured for automatic installation, the next time Intune evaluates app policy on the device.

You can add Win32 app dependencies only after your Win32 app has been added and uploaded to Intune. After your Win32 app has been added, you'll see the Dependencies option on the pane for your Win32 app. There's a maximum of 100 dependencies, which includes the dependencies of any included dependencies, as well as the app itself.
