Welcome to our amazing Classroom Timer Section! We've decided to put our new fun timers, and timers for classrooms into a nice sub-section. These are great timers for children, or maybe meetings, or anything really.

My Whirlpool dryer WED4850HW0 works great, but recently has decided not to advance past the "Cool Down" stage on the Auto-Dry cycle. Everything dries, the heating element heats up, it just gets stuck on that stage and won't advance to the "Wrinkle Shield" setting or turn off, so it just continues to spin in perpetuity until I go down there and manually advance the timer past that spot. I've popped it open and tested everything with a multimeter. As far as I can tell, the timer is working as the wiring diagram details, and the heating element checks out. I took apart the timer and there's no burned-out spots or anything - looks very clean on the inside.

Sounds like a stripped or worn tooth on the cam gear. You can look at the back of the timer motor through the observation hole to see if it running. If it is running and not advancing just replace the timer.

If you're pretty sure you have tested everything else correctly and the timer is problem - these timers do come apart pretty easily. The plastic cam rings that active the timer contacts are all separate from the plastic drum, (not a physically molded all one part like the old timers), they are held in place on the drum by just a tiny cheap plastic piece that snaps over a little ridge - they very easily break off and drop out of place.

The EI200 series timers provide silent operation in time ranges from 30 minutes up to 12 hours. Four basic models available in three colors reduce the need to stock as many timers, freeing up shelf space and providing more specification flexibility.

Hello, Could someone please teach me how to implement gun reload cool down timer like a Enter the Gungeon. So, when the player press Reload Key (R), the gun starts to cool down for 3 seconds while not being able to shoot, and then reload the ammo. I found a lot of tutorials and script on the internet and tried to implement them, however, I failed since I am very new to the scripting.

A coroutine is essentially a method/function that allows you to insert wait times a different points in your code. So you could create a coroutine that disables shooting, waits for 3 seconds, reloads the gun, and then enables shooting again.

A coroutine looks very similar to a method, except for a few key differences; the parameter (void, int, bool, etc) is always IEnumerator for coroutines, you always need to have a yield return, and you start coroutines with the StartCoroutine() method.

Thank you so much for the help and sorry for being late to reply!
I think I somehow managed to implement reload cooldown function. Phew, it took 4 days to implement this little feauture haha. Now, I need to implement UI to show whether its actually reloading or not.

Hi, It would be great to have a generator cool down timer in the GX. When running a smaller generator with a two wire start from the GX and no set mounted motorised breaker I don't see a nice way of removing load before shutting down a gen. When a Deep Sea controller is used I guess we can wire a DIO back to AUX one on the Quattro and tell it to ignor AC 1 while in cool down. On smaller sets which are not programmable, having a cool down function would be very useful and the Quattro should be more then capable of ramping off load before removing the two wire start signal from the genset. Is this feature planned?

This feature has been requested, though your additional perspective may assist with its development. Along with other generator controls was considered a low priority (and the responsibility of the auto start controller).

I have moved a system from Sunny Islands to 3 parallel Multiplus 5kVa. The Sunny Islands had the warm/cool parameters which was good. The system has a 16Kva generator running at 39 amps. The Multi's load up the gen from cold quite quickly, and dropping the load from around 10000 watts to shut down instantly is a bit brutal. So if my experience builds on the request for this feature, so much the better

Provides proportional integral temperature regulation for maximum comfort and efficiency. Features a fully menu driven large digital display. Offers optimization for various system types (high mass, low mass, baseboard, fan coil and cooling). Take control with the easy to program 7 day 24 hour timer utilizing 9 preset programs and the ability to program 4 additional user programs. This thermostat is capable of generating a setback signal that can be best utilized with a StatLink module and shared with other thermostats. Operational modes consist of: heat, cool, fan, or automatic. Optional external sensor.

Ok basically I have a form that a user submits but I need a 'cool down timer' so that the user cannot submit it again for a given amount of time.I could not find out how to do this in php which would be preferred if possible.

You can store in database (example: MySQL) timestamp of last successful submit and on every submit check if value from database + cool down time smaller or equal to current timestamp. You can get current timestamp in PHP with time().

What we do here is to check first: is a previous timestap set? And then if time() - lastsubmit is less then 5 minutes. If these all return true, the form was submitted to "early" and we simply die. If not we refresh the sessions' s timestamp and can move on.

For this you have to use a server-side database! Store the client' s IP into this database with the timestamp along and then in your if statement you don' t need to get the timestamp from the session, but from the database. Use the client' s IP to get the assoc. timestamp.

For the last few years I had a homemade solution to shut off my natural gas power vent water heater at night. This wasn't done to save a few pennies, but rather to avoid having to hear the water heater kick on occasionally in the middle of the night.

The way my setup worked was that a timer activated an appliance relay that opened a Normally Closed (NC) contact that turned off the water heater 120VAC supply. Easy enough, but I also put in a current sensor wired to another relay that would keep the water heater running if it turned on during the shut off time. Example, doing a load of laundry at 8:55PM and the water heater was set to shut off at 9:02PM, if the water heater was already running it continued running until it was done with its cycle.

I have managed to recreate this feature using a Sengled Smart Plug E1C-NB7 and the built in power monitoring features. It took me a LONG time to figure out the rules, the biggest hurdle to get over in Rule Machine was the difference between "Wait for Event" vs. "Wait for Expression".

This is a working script, but, what do i add to it, to give it a "cool down" limit, so, example "10 minutes until it can be touched, OR, activated again" maybe with a visible hovering countdown timer?

One way to do it is to send your script to a new state when it's touched, and then start a 10 minute timer in the new state. If you don't have a touch_start event in the new state, it won't respond to a touch until the timer triggers and sends execution back to state default again.

When using this, if i click the object from to far away, it comes with the "You are to far away to use this" But, then when i come closer, the script has started the timer. Meaning, I cant use the object until the timer passes.

The advantage of using a state change, rather than an integer switch, in an example like this is that the state change actually makes the object untouchable. This way you don't have someone clicking away at an object that appears to be touchable (because of the mouse-pointer icon) and wondering why nothing's happening.

The main function of this part is to ensure your oven stays on after you shut it off so that it cools down all the heat sensitive parts of your oven. Without this part your oven just shut off which would not be good! Your oven needs cool down time to make sure the parts cool down at a proper rate.

I have been playing SWTOR for years. I recently just built a new computer. Everything has worked out pretty well. But I'm having one unusual issue with the game. My cool down graphics for my abilities are either not showing or they do not show the correct cool down timer.

Example: I hit vigilant thrust on my guardian and it will give me a timer anywhere from 10-15 sec, but the real cool down is only about 8 seconds so the timer graphic will disappear when the true cool down time is met. This is extremely frustrating when trying to perform rotations, as I never know when an ability is truly going to come off cool down.

I have tried messing around with the different UI options, and none of them fix this. I've attached a screen to show what I'm describing. I'm currently using style 4 (dark cool down with no overlay) of the cool down options. As you can see the graphic is going outside the range of the icon. The time it puts up for cool down isn't even consistent.

I knew you could go to Google.com and type in such things a "convert x to y" (i.e. miles to kilometers, dollars to pounds, ounces to cups), but I did not know Google search also worked as a timer!

Try it. Just go to Google.com and type in "set timer for x minutes." It starts counting down. It has sound that beeps when done, but you can mute it. Of course, if the timer goes off, you'd better be around to hit "ok" or be annoyed!

I am going to guess it would work on my iPad and would make a great timer for cooking!
