Wow we had a wonderful time aboard the captain and crew were fantastic I would recommend this trip to everyone I know and we will definitely come again this summer so thanks again to harbor Cruise of Rockwall and the captain and crew can't wait to see y'all again.

Kennedy's lyrics describe the sight of harbour lights in the darkness, which signal that the ship carrying the singer's sweetheart is sailing away. The lonely singer hopes that the lights will someday signal the sweetheart's return.[2]Apparently the lyricist Jimmy Kennedy was driving from London (UK) down to Southampton on the South coast along the A3 road which led south to Portsmouth. As he neared the coast a fog descended and he was confused about the direction. He saw some lights on a pub and decided to stop. The pub was called The Harbour Light. Some time later he wrote the lyric and music was added. The song Harbour Lights was recorded by the Platters and many others. A blue plaque is today fixed to the wall of the pub.

The first ever Harbor Lights Newport hits the Newport harborfront on September 20 - 21, 2019 as boat owners, marinas and waterfront businesses illuminate their vessels, docks, yacht clubs, shops and restaurants with festive lights from dusk until 10 PM on both nights. Illuminated boats will remain in their slips and on their moorings as you stroll, shop and dine along the waterfront decorated with colorful lights and decor to kick off the fall season on The Classic Coast.
