The Killer is a 2006 Bollywood action thriller film directed by Hasnain Hyderabadwala and Raksha Mistry, and produced by Mukesh Bhatt. The film stars Emraan Hashmi, Irrfan Khan and Nisha Kothari in the lead roles. The film is a remake of the 2004 Hollywood film Collateral, starring Tom Cruise and Jamie Foxx.
The film's soundtrack was composed by Sajid-Wajid, with lyrics by Jalees Sherwani. The album consists of seven songs, featuring singers like K.K., Sunidhi Chauhan, Alisha Chinai, Shreya Ghoshal and Hamza Faruqui. The album was released by T-Series on June 15, 2006.

Critical reception
The film received mixed reviews from critics. Taran Adarsh of Bollywood Hungama gave the film 2.5 stars out of 5 and wrote, "The Killer has a few moments that stay with you, but they are few and far between. At best, an ordinary fare!" Rajeev Masand of CNN-IBN gave the film 2 stars out of 5 and wrote, "The Killer is a poor copy of a brilliant original. It lacks the style, the pace and the performances that made Collateral such a gripping thriller." Nikhat Kazmi of The Times of India gave the film 3 stars out of 5 and wrote, "The Killer works not only because it is a faithful adaptation of Collateral, but also because it has some fine performances by its lead players."
Box office
The film was a moderate success at the box office. It collected 14.68 crore in India and $1.25 million overseas, for a worldwide total of 23.93 crore.
