I'm using norgate data, and amibroker has this equity data. No matter my filters backtester returns no results. There are no signals being generated either. Changing my filter from my watchlist to 'current symbol' does not help either. I know Amibroker is passing over the data, because backtesting over a 3000 symbol watchlist takes time, where as "current symbol" is instant, both post no results.

It seems that if there is both an exit and an entry on the same day, amibroker backtesting is allowing the same company to be purchased on the open, if that same company has a sell order on that same day. Here is an example of this:

It doesn't feel like I am going to get this to work with Gmail, but neither is it working with my old hotmail account. I really don't understand, because I have followed all the steps in the page on configuring alerts in the amibroker knowledge base. I've engaged the solution posted by Tibetan Tree Frog for gmail.

I have used amibroker on and off for 12 years. A consistent problem for me across all versions has been the "show trade arrows" right click option after a backtest does not always work. Sometimes it does, sometimes not. It seems to not work for large periods of time.

In Amibroker you can create new watchlists and put whatever symbols you like into them. A simple way to do that is to right click on the symbol in the symbols window, and then add the selected symbol to the watchlist you created. If you select more than one symbol amibroker will let you add those symbols all at once. You can also type in the symbols separated by a comma.

Often you can do the calculations you need with simple math. Always check the amibroker function reference as it provides lots of pre-built functions to speed up your workflow. You can do all sorts of complex calculations in Amibroker like standard deviation, moving average, MACD, RSI with just one line of code.
