The HuntFishNY App can be downloaded from the Apple App store or Google Play store. To report your harvest, simply click on the appropriate tag in the app and confirm that the tag in your hand matches the tag that you are trying to report in the app. Once you have confirmed that the numbers match, fill out your harvest information and select submit!

NOTE: You will need a DEC Automated Licensing System (DECALS) user name and password in order to access your license documents through the app. If you have not yet created an online user name and password, visit the DECALS website. Questions? Call our sporting license hotline at 866-472-4332.

Note: If you do not have all the required tag information when you attempt to report, you must try again. Reporting your game take is mandatory and is necessary for proper game management. DEC biologists will use this information to determine game harvests and to set future hunting seasons.

Online reporting systems, which have been used successfully by other states, offer hunters a quick, easy and convenient way to report their harvest while providing wildlife biologists with the data necessary for monitoring harvest trends and managing the white-tailed deer population. Hunters who prefer to report their deer in-person to a check station are welcome to continue doing so.

The web archive began in 2006 with the 109th Congress, and the collection is available online. These snapshots of Congress' websites capture the evolution of the web as a medium for Congress to communicate with the public. The Center holds over 158 terabytes of archived websites.

The most recent harvest from the 117th Congress preserved over 72 terabytes of web data. Recent harvests have expanded in scope to capture not only content hosted and stored on Member and committee websites, but also content hosted on a number of social media sites used by Congress.

Harvest check-in is simply a phone call away, or you can report your success online. Several measurements (listed on the back of the permit) are required before either method of check-in can be completed.

All successful deer and turkey hunters must report each deer and/or turkey they harvest. The hunter whose name is on the transportation tag is responsible for reporting the animal. Only successful deer and turkey hunters must report.

Why does Iowa require harvest reporting?
Prior to harvest reporting, Iowa had a long history of using postcard surveys to estimate the harvest of deer and turkeys. However, these surveys were slow and cumbersome, and often didn't provide reliable information about deer and turkey harvest at the county level. The harvest reporting system provides harvest information much faster, and with a much higher level of detail. This leads to more responsive management of our deer and turkey populations.

Do I need to report my deer or turkey before I take it to a locker or taxidermist?

Yes. You are required to report your deer or turkey prior to taking it to a locker or taxidermist, or before transporting it out-of-state, whichever occurs first. Lockers and taxidermists are not required to check for a confirmation number before accepting a deer or turkey.

Before reporting a deer or turkey, you must first have the following information:

Choose your Method of Registration:
Hunters can report their deer or turkey by text, online, by telephone, or by visiting their local hunting license agent. The Iowa DNR recommends texting or online reporting because both are quick, easy, and reliable forms of reporting your harvest. Telephone reporting is also easy and convenient, but some hunters may have problems with the telephone system understanding their voiced responses.

Attention Cell Phone Users:
The most common reason hunters are unable to complete their telephone report is because of a poor cellular telephone connection. Signals that are weak, fade in and out , or "clip" speech will not work with the system. Once you have attached the transportation tag to your deer or turkey, you have until midnight the day after you harvested the animal to report your animal. Wait until you are out of the woods and receive a clear strong cell phone connection before placing your call.

Iowa's Deer and Turkey tags consist of a 2-piece tag. The primary reason for adopting this tag design was to provide a more convenient format for reporting a deer or turkey. The top part of the tag is the Harvest Report Tag, and is attached only after reporting your deer or turkey. The bottom part of the tag is the Transportation Tag, and is attached within 15 minutes of harvest and before moving your deer or turkey.

Deer hunters are required to report a successful harvest within 72-hours or before transferring possession of the deer (to another person, a processer or taxidermist). Hunters must continue to attach a paper kill tag to a harvested deer. The kill tag should remain with the head if the head and body of the deer are separated. Anyone in possession of a deer after the harvest reporting timeframe expires should be able to present the confirmation number.

If you have questions about reporting your harvest or need assistance, you can call your local DNR customer service center or the main Wildlife Division line at 517-284-WILD (9453) during normal business hours, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday.

It is a free license type obtained and printed/downloaded like other licenses. On this license type, you immediately record your harvested animal (in writing on a paper copy or using game check immediately). You can electronically report your harvest online or through the Outdoors GA app (available FREE through the Apple or Google Play store for iPhone or Android) to place it on your harvest record. WRD requires that you have a current Harvest Record in your account. [Note that devices using Android 4.1 or greater may report harvest using the Outdoors GA app and receive their confirmation number, but may not sync their license to their device or sync the confirmation number onto their electronic harvest record. Android 5.0 or greater is required for electronic license and harvest number syncing.]

A new harvest record for the upcoming season is available at no charge at Go Outdoors Georgia beginning March each year and is valid through the end of February of the next year. It also can be obtained from retail license agents and by telephone (1-800-366-2661) like any other license.

Hunters must fill in the harvest date and county on the paper harvest record (OR online OR through the Outdoors GA app) BEFORE moving a turkey or deer from the site of a kill (except deer hunts on Wildlife Management Areas or National Wildlife Refuges that requires hunters to check out their harvested deer).

Within 24 hours, all harvested turkey, deer, alligators, and bears (Northern Zone only) must be reported through Georgia Game Check, which provides a harvest confirmation number. If you were able to electronically report the harvest at the time of the kill either online (using a web browser on your mobile device/computer) or through the Outdoors GA app and sync the information with your electronic hunting license, no further action is needed (iPhone or Android 5.0 or higher). If you entered the kill on the paper Harvest Record, you will need to go online to Georgia Game Check using your mobile device or computer web browser to report the harvest and get your confirmation number and enter that number on your paper Harvest Record. You also may call Georgia Game Check (1-800-366-2661) 24/7 to report your harvest and receive your harvest confirmation number. Record your harvest confirmation number on your paper harvest record.

Online Telecheck allows hunters to enter their required harvest information 24 hours a day, seven days a week. They also may report their turkey, deer, antelope or elk harvest by calling 844-279-4564 during business hours, seven days a week.

Deer harvested during the November firearm deer season and antelope harvested during the October firearm season must be taken to a check station. Names and locations of manual check stations are listed on our interactive check station map.

Hunters may choose to fill out their turkey permit information online and then print their permits to carry with them in the field. Once a turkey has been harvested, they must cancel their turkey permit via online Telecheck or by calling the Telecheck hotline at 844-279-4564.

Hunter harvest reporting allows the Washington Department of Fish and Wildlife (WDFW) to better manage game species throughout the state and set permit levels for upcoming seasons. This in turn allows for more hunting opportunities.
