I think things feel pretty good while driving, but I'd like to try and convey some more "weight" through the wheel when the truck is stationary so that it resists turning a bit more. Any ideas on what I should start tinkering with?

I don't by any means claim these to be the ultimate settings, as a lot of it was just trial and error. Others may hate how this feels. But I feel like it's good enough to get what I expect from the game. Steering feels suitably heavy when the truck is stationary or moving slowly, and lightens up with speed. There's a decent amount of road feel without being too noisy. One thing to note: if you drive very much on unpaved (non-tarmac) roads, you may find that the feedback is a bit violent unless you slow right down to a crawl. I may at some point see if I can dial that down a bit without messing anything else up, but it doesn't bother me enough to want to mess with it atm.

(It's nearly impossible to tell from this pic, but Engine Resonance is two tiny clicks up from the minimum value...which I think gives it just enough to be able to feel a nice subtle rumble when the engine is under load. This slider is VERY sensitive. Go much beyond where it is now and it'll feel like your whole truck is going to shake apart!)

I notice from your settings that you are not using higher sensitivity. One of my reasons for wanting a CSL DD is the option of using more truck like steering angles of 1800 modern trucks and 2520 for some of the American classics trucks I have. 1.42 does allow you to set higher sensitivity numbers, but I am not sure if this is just animation or taken from direct user wheel input. I have tied dialing in 1800 with my CSW v2.5 but you just see the on screen wheel turning at 2:1, very unrealistic imo.

Over the years, players have gone from just seeing their truck in the game have Michelin tires, to being able to choose the type of Michelin tire they want to use and having access to other branded products for decorating their truck. The next stage, if approved, would be to help show how realistic the experience is for players by focusing on the safety and longevity that Michelin brand can provide.

That deeper experience will, for instance, mean integrating real performance and safety aspects into the game. For example, rolling resistance and wet braking performance, which are highly dependent on the technology inside the tire, but also the way people inflate and maintain truck tires.

Being able to choose a truck and build a company is the main draw of Euro Truck Simulator 2. The available trucks to purchase range from affordable options from DAF and Iveco to the luxurious offerings from Mercedes-Benz and Volvo.

No matter anyone's cup of tea, there are tons of trucks to choose from. Each one has its own unique, special features, with some having fewer blind spots and others offering powerful engines. Budget is another important component, with some trucks reaching well over 300,000 Euros. With all these factors put together, players will want to choose wisely when spending their hard-earned cash.

Starting off with a beginner-friendly truck, we have the DAF 2021. This truck is on the affordable side, with the cheapest model coming in at 133,205 Euros. It starts at 299 Horsepower and can reach all the way up to 530 Horsepower.

Despite this model having the ability to upgrade to higher power, it is still one of the weaker options for its price. Its torque is nothing to write home about, either, so this truck is best for those who mostly just prefer the DAF interior and open windows for a lower price.

Another one of the most affordable trucks in the game is the Renault T. Despite being cheap, it still offers robust upgrades, all the way up to 520 Horsepower. It is by far one of the cheapest base models players can get, clocking in at only 117,343 Euros for the base Renault T Sleeper.

Renault T far outweighs the other cheap trucks due to its affordability, while still offering 380 Horsepower for the base model, as opposed to DAF's more expensive offering only reaching 299 Horsepower. This truck is sure to get anyone through the start of their journey, but most likely will not carry through the larger hauls.

Another positive draw of the DAF XF Euro 6 is its visibility. The truck has very minimal blind spots, with large, open windows and mirrors to allow players to see their surroundings with ease. The truck has a luxurious exterior and can be purchased for a base price of 128,030 Euros.

Surprisingly, the Mercedes-Benz New Actros is one of the cheaper options on the market. Its base model starts at a whopping 421 Horsepower at a price of 119,375 Euros. Its torque is on the powerful side as well, making it a breeze to climb up hills using this truck.

The main thing holding this truck back from reaching a higher spot is its less-than-stellar upgrades. There are other trucks on the market that can reach higher Horsepower levels, which is where the Mercedes-Benz New Actros falls short.

MAN has some of the best mid-tier trucks in the game, offering low prices without the sacrifice of a strong engine. The Man TGX Euro 6 is one of the newer models that has the capacity to be upgraded to a whopping 640 Horsepower with impressive torque to boot.

Though this truck has some excellent upgrades for a reasonable price that won't break the bank, it falls short with its large blind spots. However, it does make up for this with an incredibly wide front window, allowing players to take in all the scenery the game has to offer.

The Scania R 2016 is where we really get into the hefty, robust engines. This truck offers an upgrade reaching 730 Horsepower and incredibly high torque, making it easy to hoist heavy cargo over long distances. For gamers just getting started with long-distance jobs, the Scania R 2016 is a good starter.

This truck is one of the cheaper choices for high-end options, barely scraping above 300,000 Euros with just a basic paint job. There should be no problem tackling the more advanced jobs with this heavy-hitter.

The Scania S is the same price as the Scania R 2016, but the higher roof will allow for additional stability. The truck will be less likely to tip, so gamers can be more wild with their speed without having to worry about taking a tumble and needing to shell out thousands for repairs.

Last but certainly not least, we have the Volvo FH. This truck is by far the fastest and most powerful in the game, with an incredible 750 Horsepower offered in its strongest engine and torque that destroys all the other trucks on this list.

This truck is actually quite affordable for its impressive features. If players stick to a basic paint job and have no additional aesthetic accessories, this truck can hover around 278,000 Euros. Even the basic interior is pleasing to the eye; the center console takes on a triangular shape, making it easier to reach the controls, with a gorgeous white color on top.

Travel across Europe as king of the road, a trucker who delivers important cargo across impressive distances! With dozens of cities to explore, your endurance, skill and speed will all be pushed to their limits.

When you start the game, you first buy your own truck, and begin looking for work to transport merchandise from city to city across Europe - from Madrid to Lisbon, from Lisbon to Barcelona, from Barcelona to Paris. As you advance in the game and improve your skill, the jobs you aim for will be more important, and you'll have to travel further.

Driving the truck is easy, and the different characteristics of each truck are noticeable. Also, you have a good number of camera views for controlling the steering wheel and other actions, such as strapping down the load and parking the vehicle.

I want to update my truck's appearance in-game, to make it more on par with it's real life counterpart. The part of the truck I want to edit, to be more specific, is the grill of the truck. The truck's looks are pretty outdated, and it seems it needs a facelift.

From what I found, all my sources tell me that I need to edit the base files of the game, and then I can alter the game mod itself. Is there a simpler way of updating the truck's appearance? Or am I better of just sticking with it's old looks?
