Wehave a site that is hosted publicly from on prem through our DMZ which goes through a firewall cluster. Consistently, files over 10 MB hang when uploading to this site. We used PDFs in our testing. Files under 10 MB upload within seconds. If I look in the Chrome console while we try to upload a PDF over 10 MB, Chrome immediately shows a 413 error. Sometimes, if we leave the upload going, it might actually go through after 30 minutes or more. We're talking like 14 MB in an average test. I've tried a Threat Prevention exception and I'm confident there is some sort of Threat Emulation issue. I really don't want to leave an exception in place for this domain.

Hi, I have added an image gallery to my website. But when I try and upload any photos, it shows the error message failed to upload, please try again. I have tried different file types but doesn't seem to be working.

Can I just check, this is when the image is being uploaded to square.online? have you tried using a different browser? and a different device? If the issue continues to happen, feel free to continue to reach out on here as I'd love to be able to help you out.

Yes the images are being uploaded to square.online. I have tried safari instead of chrome, have tried on my iPad rather than laptop and still no luck. The images were take on my iPhone but have all been converted to JPEG files.

Can anybody actually solve this issue without a personal email? Where is the support team the website goes on about before you pay? Is that just there to get the money and then when you have a problem theyre nowhere to be found? Claerly I'm not the only one to have this problem, why is there no m,ention on the support page? Does Square not care about customers after theyve paid?

I'm also having issues uploading images to my image gallery. I've had no issues in the past but in the last week I have not been able to add some images while other images do upload. The images are under 10MB and .jpg files. When I go to upload images it seems to be uploading, there's a green check mark, it blinks like it's added the image but the image does not show up. I also can no longer see previously uploaded images, it just shows the last 3 images that I was able to upload.

If you haven't already, I recommend getting in touch with us directly so that a member of our Square Online team can dig into this further with you. This way, the team can look at your account with you and help make adjustment in real time. You can contact them by clicking here.

So I worked with a few ECOM support members for about 4.5 hrs yesterday. The first person was on with me for 15 minutes, asked me for files so that they could see what they could do. Told me that they would be back in a moment and that to keep the live conversation open they would need to be the last message written. So I left it at that and didn't message then I waited and waited.

After 2 hrs I still didn't hear back so I messaged to check in. At that point another support member came on. The first member left me hanging. I had to start all over and explain the issue again. Couldn't give me any assistance but told me I had too many images in my image gallery. I then asked if there was a way to remove unused uploaded images and was told they could delete for me or they could send me the steps. I asked for the steps and a link was provided. Conversation was ended although there was no resolution on why images weren't uploading. I went to the link and it was just a forum discussing the topic of not being able to delete uploaded images...

I started up the live chat again where a 3rd member came on. Right away this member was more helpful than the other 2 members. I was told that I should be able to add 50 images per gallery no matter what and was nowhere near that so they asked for my file to try themselves and had no problem uploading and could also see all previously uploaded images. I had tried multiple times earlier in the day and had no luck. This member asked me to try another browser which I mentioned I had tried that already. The member then asked me to check my upload speed which I did and was not the issue. I then went back to try uploading and of course it worked and all other previous images were also visible again. Issue seemed to be resolved but we didn't know what the issue actually was.

Today I tried and the same issue of not being able to upload and see previously uploaded images is happening again... Not sure what's going on. I've tried on MAC and PC and same issue. Does anyone have any ideas of what's going on?

I'm having issues too - I can upload images but the top is cut off. If I change the ratio the sides are cut off. My files are JPEG n=and under 10mb, images are of my art work so clearly this isn't acceptable.

I think you must try Adobe Lightroom for your photos, download it and run your photos through it. Have the proper JPG format and you should edit the metadata. Have proper size and resolution and try to upload them from your PC.

The recommendations here focus on posting images specifically through your Buffer account. Posting through Buffer to a social network utilizes API services, which sometimes handle images differently than if you were to post natively on the social platform itself.

When uploading an image to Buffer, the image must be under 10MB. We currently support JPG, PNG and HEIC image files for all social networks except TikTok (which only supports videos), and additionally GIF files for X/Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn, Instagram, Mastodon, and Pinterest.

? Even if an image is within the file size limit, we will check that the image is smaller than 8192 x 8192 pixels, since this is X/Twitter's maximum allowed dimension. If it's bigger than that, your image will be resized to be just a little smaller.

When scheduling a post through Buffer, we send your image through API services that can handle files a little differently than if you were posting directly on the social channel yourself. This can cause some unexpected results if images are saved in certain ways, so we recommend using these tips if you are seeing distortion, pixelation, or slight color changes.

Sometimes, images might appear to be rotated once they have been published to your social channel. When images are uploaded to Buffer, we use the orientation data that is hard-coded in the background of the image based on how it was taken or the tool used to process it. This background information is called the EXIF data. Whilst the image may appear to be the correct orientation when previewing it on your computer, or in the composer after uploading it in Publish, it might be rotated once published.

If this is happening for you, we thought we'd share this tool that can remove the EXIF data from images before uploading them. Upload your image and then click eXif.me. Check the box to the right of "EXIF Cleaner" that says "IF CHECKED ALL THE TAGS WILL BE CLEARED" and then click Go.eXifing. This will remove the EXIF data from your image and then you can download the image by clicking "Download.me".

If I am reading this correctly your Spam Filter is a 3rd party that you do not necessarily have control over? If so can you have the raise the limit from 10mb to say 35mb? Just to see if that would have any effect on the delivery of the email in question?

Rockn, I agree this has to hit spam service before it hits the server, but it usually says something different when it rejects messages. I showed the error message to the spam provider, also our ISP and he though it was an exchange problem. I will reach back out them and see if they can validate the settings. I could not easily find default settings for the barracuda spam & virus firewall 400 with a google search.

The 10 MB file limit is too small. Has anyone else had this problem? I've posted some pics taken with one of these and I am finding that I can't upload all my photos as some of them weigh in at 10 - 14 MB each.

It seems like 10MB is a pretty arbitrary number. They should consider bumping up to 15MB.

In the interim... what is the best way to upload these photos? Do I resize or do I compress? Which is best?

"It seems like 10MB is a pretty arbitrary number. They should consider bumping up to 15MB."

how is 15mb any less arbitrary?

As camera resolution climbs, the size limits may have to increase. But generally, a jpg at the lowest compression for a 12mp camera, should still clock in around 5-7 megs. Are you trying to upload a TIF file instead? Those are totally [and unnecessarily] uncompressed, and often quite large.

Not that being able to share the highest quality images isn't an important goal. But sometimes for web display, compromises have to happen.

Joshua - you may want to start a thread about this in flickr ideas. I think more people read that group than the forum (here) and you can get a better sense if you not alone in having this issue.

I save my photo as a JPEG before uploading them and haven't run into the size limit issue yet.

joshua, i sometimes have the same issue when uploading full-size jpegs from my 5D. my problem is that the uploadr prompts you to resize the photo to 2048 pixels, which is "best for archiving", although 2048 is quite a bit less than 10mb. would it be possible to just resize our photo from 12mb (or 14mb or whatever) down to 10mb instead of all the way down to 2048 pixels?

I only know how to convert to a jpeg, but I'm pretty sure if you're using Photoshop that there is a way you can resize the photo yourself and not have to rely on uploadr to do it. Now, we just have to wait for someone who actually knows how to do that to explain it.
