Ihave other portable apps that use the same dll's and can function on my work laptop. For example Beeftext and Postbox (running from a folder) work fine (both MSVCP140.dll and VCRUNTIME140.dll found in their app folders). So I copied those dll's into the main and "Program Files" folders. The DLL error went away, but then this Application Error popped up:

You need to download MSVCP140.dll and VCRUNTIME140.dll and install it to the system, all the info about how to do that is provided in the links mentioned, After installing restart your Pc and isuue should be solved,

I just recently got Adobe Photoshop and with that i need to have Creative cloud to download it but when i download creative cloud and try to open it up all it says is "The code execution cannot proceed because MSVCP140.dll was not found. Reinstalling the program may fix this problem." but i tried reinstalling and the same message came up and it keeps telling me this. I do not know what i am doing wrong or how to fix this error.

Do you have all the latest upgrades for Windows 10? I ask because the latest Visual C++ runtime is usually pushed out by Microsoft when you upgrade your Windows operating system. If not, then you'll need to install Visual C++ manually from the link John T Smith posted above.

Find the lastests install for Microsoft Visual C++ and repair them. It should do the trick, but I'm not sure if repairing only the lastest version is enough so, don't hesitate to repair one or 2 previous versions too.

Just had the Same issue a few hours ago. Found this thread but just to be on the safe side i uninstalled and reinstalled all the x64 versions. It doesnt take long to do them all at all as the programmes are small. 5mins for all 3. Then i rebooted the system and then reinstalled Adobe. All works fine now.

Thank you! Deleting all of the x64 versions and reinstalling the latest one worked for me too. It wouldn't allow me to uninstall Adobe originally and repairs for the x64 versions made no difference. I'm so glad you made this suggestion!

I was having the same issue. Ran the latest Windows 10 update, but did not help. Tried to install Visual C++, but could not due to the newest version already installed. Repaired Visual C++ per cedricfr's suggestion and it fixed the problem. Thanks.

I got two codes of this kind and I just went to the apps and looked for the visual cc programs wich are easy to find and clik modify and then repair and without reinstalling the adobe cloud nor photoshop, it worked. thanks

I am trying to submit my adobe log file from running the log file collecter app after installation failure of CC, PS and Lrc. each program stalls. I have tried the repair and unistall apps repeatedly. Please help. I have iMac with 10.15.7 system recently recovered from system failure and rebuilt using TimeMachine following Fusion HD replacement (2TB mechanical drive replaced).

When trying to load creative cloud I got two pop-up system errors saying that the code execution could not proceed because MSVCP140.dll and VCRUNTIME.dll were not found ... and that reinstalling the program amy help.

I eventually found (thanks Google) that the problem related to the fact that the Microsoft Visual C++ 2015 Redistributables were not installed on my machine (Adobe's support information suggests that all the C++ redistributables are installed / provided with the installer ... and maybe they are, but the installation didn't work).

After much searching (thanks Google ... no thanks Adobe), I eventually found the cause and the solution - that the 2015 redistributables wouldn't install because 2017 was already installed ... so after removing the 2017 redistributables, I could easily install the 2015 versions and then the 2017 versions.

I'm not sure how the installation process got this muddled up in my case - whether it is an issue with Adobe's installer, or whether it may have related to other software installed before Creative Cloud that required the latest version - either way it was not a pleasant or quick process for me to get Creative Cloud installed!

To Adobe: maybe you can make sure your installer ensures the C++ 2015 redistributables are loaded first and that it knows what to do if 2017 is already loaded (prior to installing CC, I'd installed various drivers and applications, including Office 365, Dropbox, 1Password, Adobe Audition 3, Acronis True Image Home and Acrobat, and can provide a full list if if helps)

I had a simillar issue, I only got an popup error stating that MSVCP140.dll was missing. I removed Adobe Creative Cloud, used their Adode clean up utility, and then uninstalled all the Microsoft Visual C++ that was installed the same day as the Creative Cloud. In my case only Microsoft Visual C++ 2013 and 2017 were installed so I removed all four of them (x64 and x86 version of each) and then reinstalled Creative Cloud. It worked right away with out issue. I'm not to sure what happend to cause my issue but its resolved now. Thanks for all the leg work on your end!

Thank you so much for your help here. I have just spent 2 hours pulling my hair out continually uninstalling and reinstalling creative cloud with no luck and this has helped me resolve the issue! For anytone readint this, it's worth noting that I did not remove the C++ visuals. I went to 'Add/remove programs' and then if you modify them you can repair them instead. The repair worked rather than a re-installation

THANK YOU SO MUCH for the advice to repair the ms visual c++ programms. I had the same errors when I tried to install the adobe creative cloud and I've spent a whole day (!!) of searching online for solutions, removing and re-installing the acc and also installing the latest version of ms visual c++. Nothing worked. And then I tried as you suggested. I just repaired the 2015-2019 version of ms visual c++. That literally just took 5 minutes and after that I was finally able to install the acc without any further troubles! THANK YOU!

Adobe will have used the official Microsoft installer, but as you say, that failed. I suspect you had the runtime before (almost every app uses it), then it was removed. Some apps are badly written and remove the runtime when uninstalled, but don't do it properly. That's my guess anyway. Good job of solving it and thanks for sharing it.

I just got a new computer and installed DCS world (Windows is updated). When I go to launch DCS I get two error messages saying MSVCP140.DLL and VCRUNTIME140.DLL not found. Does anyone know what I need to do to fix this? Thanks.

Along with Adobe Acrobat and Office 365, Origin stopped working about a week ago, having been working perfectly just a few hours earlier. Everything was up to date - but that might have been the problem, since some of the updates were very new.

Anyway, after a great deal of hassle, managed to reinstall Office 365 (at about the twentieth attempt). Acrobat and Origin - newly installed - continue to bleat that their exe file can't be found - even though it's actually sitting in the appropriate folder, newly installed!

Latest attempt at Origin produced a second error message: MSVCP140.dll missing. Well, if anything is missing it is because ORIGIN has failed to install it (and I've installed, deinstalled, reinstalled, scanned and all the rest).

Either HELP - or tell me how I can get back all the money I've spent on Sims 4 which I can no longer play. (Actually, I realise I'm probably addressing fellow Origin-sufferers - but you know what I mean!)

I am having the same issue I had it on my old laptop now I have a new one with more ram and all and this one has windows 10 on it. and I was all excited that I was going to be able to play sims4 on my new laptop I just got for my birthday. NOPE! I am so upset I have done all the updates other people have said to do and redownloaded a million times and still nothing. fix this problem please or is there a number I can call these people????

The older computer will run the game fine with the Unity 2019 build, but not the Unity 2020 build. Not sure why the new version of the game will not start up on that one computer. The older laptop is not used much anymore, which is why its not updated. I figured I would test it on an older version of Windows to check compatibility.

You need to install the Microsoft Visual C++ 2015 Redistributable Update 3 RC from the link supplied in the marked as answer reply to this thread, the 32bit version download and install of the data link library will be the most likely one that you will need, even if you are using a 64bit system, however, if the app that needs the file to run was developed for a 64bit OS only then you will need the 64bit version. You can install both versions on a 64bit system as a 64bit system will run both 32bit and 64bit apps and/or programs.

Note that this is not the exact source of problem that the OP Poster had, but i found this forum thread back when looking for a solution, so i wanted to add that here. In my case, AppX also yielded an .exe, but i couldnt run it and had the same errors that OP described (just the source of error was different).

So yeah, I was on no$gba for a while but then it crashed and reverted about a half hour of gameplay with the save states i kept making refusing to load yadda yadda yadda thats not why I'm making this.

I also did a bit of google searching but all I found were sketchy looking downloads and other things of the such, so I'd rather just get it from here.. a place I can trust more than a random file on mediafire

A few weeks ago I reset my PC (keeping my personal files) to fix some issues that my HP had upon startup. Those issues were resolved, but it seems that ever since I reinstalled Windows I've been getting error messages saying that I'm missing both VCRUNTIME140.dll and MSVCP140. dll. I've gotten these same two error messages when trying to open two separate applications.

I tried some solutions that I found online and reinstalled and repaired the latest version of Microsoft Visual C++ several times over the course of the past few weeks. I've also tried downloading the applications again. Both of these methods didn't work, and I keep receiving the same error messages.
