Winter Update

An update to all you fine people on happenings and events in the Valley.

Hall upgrade:

The hall is FINALLY being renovated - after years of project planning, consents came through at the end of last month and work has started on replacing the rotted north wall and installing a new wrap around deck which is going to provide a much larger space for our gatherings and some fabulous indoor/outdoor flow. There will be bifold doors opening onto the deck which will also improve ventilation in the hall on sunny days. The project is expected to be completed at the beginning of October, and seems to be progressing well.

AGM - check out the new Hall

The Resident’s Association’s AGM was scheduled for the end of July, but we have decided to delay the AGM to Sunday November 17th. This will a great opportunity to come along and check out the new hall: AGM at 3pm followed by a celebratory BBQ - we hope to see you there!

Playground at the hall

The Resident’s Association is thrilled that the Kapiti Coast District Council has made a substantial grant towards the installation of a playground at the Hall. We are hoping this will be under construction in November. Many of the events we have run have been to raise funds towards this project and we are delighted to finally get this underway. A massive thank you to all the councillors and the Waikanae community board that supported granting funds to this project at the last council meeting.

Subscriptions now due

Reikorangi Resident’s Association subs of $10 a family are now due for the 2024 /25 year - Please make your payment to the Association bank account: 020591 0042332 00 reference your surname.
