Autumn Update

An update to all you fine people on happenings and events in the Valley.

Midwinter Christmas:  Save the date - at the Hall and Community Reserve: Friday 23 June from 6:30pm - a Good old fashioned celebration of the shortest day of the year (midwinter solstice).  More information to come.   For  updates on the day please check the website www.reikorangiresidents.com    

 

Matariki - 14 July 2023 -

Matariki will be celebrated on Friday 14th July this year. Watch this space for news on a community event to come.

Sick of traffic? Kapiti Coast District Council is now consulting on a proposed speed management plan that will slow traffic in the region more.  You can have your say here:

The Greater Wellington Regional Council 10 year plan: GW have developed 4 priorities for the next 10 years - interestingly you don’t get to say what these are but you can rank what’s most important to you in our region for these four priorities.

 

Akatarawa  Road closing for culvert replacement

 

Akatarawa Road will be closed to through traffic between 8-19 May for work to replace drainage culverts.

 

During this time access will be limited to residents only during the day (between 7.30am and 5pm), with traffic management in place.

The road will reopen at night and on weekends.
