Reiki is a natural energy healing system discovered and developed by
Mikao Usui in Japan around the end of the 19th century.
Throughout our life we build up internal blockages that impede the
circulation of energy. This condition may lead to feelings of
"unwellness". Reiki produces an immediate, continuous and cumulative
improvement in our relationship with ourselves and our surroundings,
be it work, family, society, etc.
Reiki can be used to:

Free repressed emotions
Relax and achieve a state of mental calm and serenity
Increase energy level, promoting greater physical and spiritual
vitality
In the majority of cases, the benefits of medical treatment increase
when used in combination with Reiki. (Reiki should never be used in
place of medical treatment).
Reiki can be very useful for those suffering from chronic illnesses
that carry significant psychological suffering
Relax and achieve a state of mental calm and serenity
Reduce anxiety and subsequently reduce the consumption of substances
such as tobacco, alcohol, tranquilizers, etc.
Relieve pain, be it physical, emotional, mental or spiritual
Aid in coping with depression, anxiety, migraines and insomnia.

The areas that benefit from Reiki are creativity, positive mental
energy, physical endurance, a heightening of the senses,
communication, social skills, self-confidence the ability to solve
problems, and many others.
In order for treatment to effectively promote a general, physical,
emotional and mental rebalancing, a minimum of four consecutive
sessions is recommended. Thereafter, the frequency of sessions will
depend on the patient and the symptoms.
A Reiki session typically lasts 50 minutes. The patient is fully
clothed, removing only her shoes to promote improved circulation, and
lies on a massage table. The therapist then places her hands over a
group of areas of the body known as "chakras". Energy is flows through
the patient via the therapist's hands.
At the end of the first session it is common for patients to feel a
strong sensation of peace. This is due to the rebalancing of the
body's energy centers, creating a state of profound relaxation.
The incorporation of Reiki in sports or the workplace produces rapid
measurable benefits thanks to the unification of the team members'
forces and the group visualization of a common goal.
Reiki is more than just a form of therapy. It is a way of life. Reiki
teaches us to life positively, to respect others and ourselves, to
express and receive feelings and to see the importance of all things
around us.
