No Android device found! Make sure USB debugging has been enabled. Check your device. In most cases there should be a small icon in the status bar telling you if the USB connection is available. If you are sure that your device is attached then it might be your USB driver that's the problem. For details please check the Android SDK setup section in the Unity manual.
Disconnect the USB cable from your android device, go to Settings > Developer Options and turn off and on the USB Debugging . Also tap on "Revoke USB Debugging Access". Now, connect the USB cable. When prompted tap "Yes".
To all Huawei owners check that under network is actived USB tethering, then activate USB debugging. I was changing SDK,downloading all sorts of ADB and USB drivers. Breaking my head 2 days until i find in some webpage that Huawei requires that USB tethering is on.
Open Android Studio, click Configure->SDK Manager. In the center area, next to SDK Platforms, click the SDK Tools frame. Near the bottom is "Google USB Driver", which for me was unchecked and said Not Installed. Check the box and click Apply. It should download the usb driver. For me, it was put into C:\Users\my_name\AppData\Local\Android\Sdk\extras\google\usb_driver
For me, the device was working just fine, but once while unity was building up the editor froze and I had to kill the unity editor, and when I started it again unity couldn't recognize the device, and so after hours of struggling I finally find the solution.
I had Android Studio installed prior to Unity. My phone model showed up and I was able to run the app on the phone fine. In Unity project setting, the phone model did not show, just 'Any Android Device'.
So I checked Unity project preferences > External tools > Scroll down to "Android SDK Tools Installed with Unity (Recommended)" and changed the default value to the other SDK path on my system. Both of these seem to work:
I also made sure that when plugged in, the phone has USB Debugging ON (or allow USB debugging in charging mode, but not recommended) and the Camera (PTP) / Transfer photos / Photo Browsing via USB option is chosen.
I just had this info message popping up constantly in the Console with my Quest 3. The solution was simply to reconnect the USB cable, whereby a dialog appeared in the HMD asking to allow debugging on this device. I selected "Always allow for this device" and the console messages have stopped... for now. I had to repeat this procedure when upgrading from 2021.3.35f1 to .36f1.

I am trying to create some apps on my xiaomi smartphone (MIUI 8), but when I try to run an app, the error INSTALLATION_CANCELED_BY_USER appears. I found that the problem is that I must enable the "Install via USB" option from developer settings. When I try to do so, I get a screen that says I have to login/signup with an MI account in order to enable this option, which is something I am not willing to do. So, I have 3 questions:
What I didn't want was to continue having an MI account connected to my device. So I just created a temporary account, enabled the "Install via USB" option and then logged out from the MI account. So, now I hope the option stays enabled :)
For those who have already inserted their SIM card into the Xiaomi phone, the other answers would work. But, if you are using Xiaomi Redmi 5 only for development purposes, you will need to do as below:
None of the other solutions floating around the internet worked for me (Chinese VPN, Disabling MIUI optimization...). I also could not temporarily sign into a Mi account, since I'd uninstalled as many MIUI system apps as I could and thus sign-in wasn't working anymore (and I just didn't want to sign in to begin with).
"Install via USB" wont work if your Xiaomi phone is running MIUI 8 or above. Looks like when you try to Enable this option, your phone trys to connect to some chinese server and fails.
Note for POCO F3 (maybe others too):the icon in the top right corner of "Install via USB" will not show until Settings > Additional settings > Developer options > Turn on MIUI optimisation (at the bottom) is OFF.
Swapping SIM cards and getting an error message on your phone? The "SIM not provisioned MM2" error is easy enough to fix, but what does it mean? Let's take a look at how to fix this SIM card error and ensure you can avoid it happening again in the future.
SIM cards contain certain information that helps with the identification of your cell phone account. The SIM enables the phone to be identified as yours on the mobile network (thanks to the IMEI number). This enables you to make calls and connect to the mobile internet.
