Hi, Is there a way to install an asterisk without the attending menu select screen from CLI? I am trying here to automate the process but menu select requires to be attended by a human. Is there a way to do this directly in files? as a script can edit a file to select and enable options?

I have installed asterisk 11 in centos 6.5 and it worked fine. After a reboot asterisk -rvv it does not start, it needs to type service asterisk start. is there a way to make asterisk start automatically in centos 6.x version please?

I am using Asterisk & java application for voip project in centos. Now i am trying to use open source softphone on same machine where asterisk present. I try pjsua but when ever asterisk on pjsua not work & when ever asterisk stop pjsua works...

I already installed asteriskNow 2.0 ISO, thus after system installation, i've already have built-in asterisk within CentOS. I do not need to download source package and compile the source files. But right now, i have an situation that requires to recompile asterisk again.

I have asterisk 11 installed on Centos. Everything was working fine till yesterday. I was installing mysql and using for connection. I have it working and my cdr are now nicely posted into mysql db. But in the process of getting getting ODBC working I had to rebuild the installation and somehow created a new problem.

If upgrading an existing install with older asterisk it is best to run rm -rf /usr/lib64/asterisk/modules first. If installing Asterisk v18 just replace asterisk-16 with asterisk-18 in the command lines.

The asterisk PBX ports are very important & it needs to enable on the firewall. In this setup, we have built SRTP for encrypted communications. The communications take place via two channels through VoIP trunk.
We must secure the signalling because SRTP keys are exchanged in plaintext with SDES, For more info refer

Server security is very important we installed the CSF on the server. If you need high security for your asterisk server feel free to contact Xieles Support, we will help you to harden your server with geo blocking & monitoring system.

1. First download the appropriate ISO image from centos mirrors _64/ and install. Centos 7 only supports 64 bit processors. This howto uses the minimal install image: CentOS-7-x86_64-Minimal-1503-01.iso (or a later version).

7. Configure. Centos 7 uses a different libdir from the default one in asterisk configure script. If you don't specify this then you will have to link the lib64 library (ln -s /usr/lib/libasteriskssl.so.1 /usr/lib64/libasteriskssl.so.1) for asterisk to run.

A little background. I have asterisk running on CentOS in VMWare Workstation on my Windows 7 workstation with Endpoint Protection 12. When reimaging my machine and installing the new version of Endpoint, the network thread protection seems to constantly want to intervene when my Cisco IP phone starts to make it's connection to the IP assigned to the VMWare VM. Since the adapter is setup as bridged, and has it's own individual IP aside from the one assigned to my workstation, I thought creating an exception rule would alleviate this problem. However, it hasn't. I believe the error that it produces is that it's detecting a port scan.
