Dear women’s advocates and partners,

 

Can you believe it’s already been a year?! One year ago, on International Women’s Day (IWD), the PUSH campaign launched its second phase as ICM’s global campaign for woman-centred care, advocating for midwives as the way to get us there! Have YOU joined the movement?

 

Join us one and all as we celebrate #IWD2026 and the one-year anniversary of PUSH, and as we built momentum towards IMNHC2026, you will listen and learn from fellow advocates from around the world on how they PUSH back for rights, for women, and for midwives!

 

Our event will kick-off with joint opening remarks by ICM Chief Midwife, Jacqueline Dunkley-Bent, and AlignMNH Director, Anita Gibson, followed by two powerful panels showing us the powerful partnership between midwives and women’s advocates! First, we will hear the success stories of the First Regional Advocacy Incubator with reflections from the Midwives Associations in Ethiopia, Kenya, and Uganda! Then, we will take a tour across three regions, from Portugal (APEO), Saudi Arabia (ARMAG), and Guatemala (Libera) to hear from PUSH champions how they’re advancing the global movement for respectful woman-centred care!
