We are delighted to announce that the programme for the 34th ICM Triennial Congress is now live.
Under the theme One Million More Midwives, this year’s Congress will bring together midwives, researchers, educators, policymakers, advocates, and partners from across the globe for an inspiring and action-oriented programme designed to advance midwifery and strengthen sexual, reproductive, maternal, newborn and adolescent health (SRMNAH) worldwide.

- 684 Poster Presentations highlighting diverse perspectives and emerging ideas from across regions
- 67 Skills Workshops offering hands-on learning and practical skills development
- 51 Three-minute Presentations featuring concise, high-impact presentations
- Inspiring ICM-led sessions, including 4 Plenary Sessions and 8 dedicated ICM workshops
- 34 sessions led by partner organisations, offering targeted insights and specialised learning
- AI-powered interpretation available in 50+ languages in the plenary halls.

One Million More Midwives March

The Saturday pre-Congress event has become a beloved tradition, celebrating the arrival of midwives from around the globe. From the Road to Durban, to Prague’s Voices of Midwives, Toronto’s March for More Midwives, and Bali’s Dance for Women’s Empowerment—Lisbon now continues the legacy.
This march invites hundreds of midwives to walk together in solidarity, delivering a powerful message: the world needs more women in leadership, more midwives, and greater equality and empowerment for all women.
Tickets: The event is free and open to the public. Pre-registration is not required.
