You may not be aware that the registry is the most vital part of the
Windows operating system. If the registry isn't working effectively
then that in turn means that the Windows operating system on your
computer will not work correctly either. The main purpose of the
registry is to keep tabs on all the different components that are used
to keep your computer running smoothly. For instance, the registry
keeps records of all your hardware, software and user settings stored
in its memory. If changes are made by you in these areas, such as a
program been deleted or installed, then the registry is updated to
reflect the change. Windows checks with the registry on a constant
basis to make sure it is using the correct settings at any given
moment.
The Windows operating system does a poor job generally at keeping the
registry clean. It doesn't efficiently remove old entries when
programs are removed or if they crash. Over time the registry will
fill up with old, outdated information. Once the registry fills to a
certain level it begins to effect the overall performance of your
computer. You will notice your computer becoming slow and possibly
error appearing or programs crashing without warning.
You can try to manually fix the problems with a corrupted registry but
it is quite time consuming and unless you know what you're doing you
can make things a lot worse. A better solution to the problems is to
use a good registry repair program such as RegCure by ParetoLogic Inc
RegCure is a popular registry repair program that has been on the
market for several years. With its easy to use interface it has been
designed with non-tech people in mind. The user is taken through each
step of the scanning or the registry and the program will
automatically delete any issues found with the registry.
Some of the features found in the RegCure program include one click
scan and remove functions. A system restore feature so that even if an
accidental deletion of an important registry file occurs you can
restore your registry to its previous working state. RegCure also has
a schedule feature so you can set it up automatically to scan your
registry everyday, week or month.
Another feature of the RegCure program is the ability to take care of
your Windows startup programs. You can choose which programs you would
like to have start up when you boot up your computer. There are
usually many unnecessary programs that are loaded when Windows boots
up that can greatly effect your systems performance.
