This group is for discussion of the Registry of Internet
Transmitters. See http://open-mail.org for details, but briefly, this
is a Registry of domains offering clear, unambiguous authentication of
their Internet transmitters. The Registry is available as a free
public service for any receiver wishing to check the identity of an
unknown transmitter.

The purpose of the Registry is to put an end to the use of forged
domain-names by illegal transmitters, including the millions of
"zombies" that are now organized into large "botnets". The benefit
will be a reduction in the threat to critical infrastructure posed by
these botnets.
