The issue seems to be specific to using DefaultIcon as the search term, other terms provide the expected results.
When searching for DefaultIcon the following is observed:
1) Searching the HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT key = no matches.
2) Searching only the HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT/txtfile key = 1 match.
3) Searching Entire Registry = 1000 matches.
The matches do not include the HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT/txtfile key.
4) Searching the results of 3 for "%SystemRoot%\system32\imageres.dll,-102" without quotes results in 6 matches.
3 of the matches are valid but each one has a counterpart that shows data in the Value column that is represented as a string.
However the string contains non-string data.
When moving the cursor over these items or switching from another tab the contents of the Value string changes.

Here are screenshots showing the issue.
The first shows the results of the search as per item 4. The second is the same result page after moving the mouse over the last item.
