the third “Get Involved with Issues That Affect Your Community” essay
contest. Students are invited to compete to win a $500 scholarship!
Contestants must meet the following requirements in order to compete in the
essay competition:
1) African-American or Latino student
2) High school senior
3) Minimum 3.0 GPA
4) Total household income of $100,000 or less
Essay Question: Immigration has been an issue of intense national debate for
decades. Nobel laureate Gary Becker proposes that the US government sell the
right to immigrate in the following article:
