Thank you everyone for moving fwd with these ideas and invitations.

We really appreciate that folks are thinking about what can happen at
these meetings, and what the agendas might be. I don't have any firm
proposals for an agenda, but perhaps it might just start with a
brainstorm about what the goals of CSA members group might be?

I appreciate that folks are thinking about the "business" of the CSA,
and of course we can really benefit with help in these areas,
especially now in the early stage. But in the long run we hope that a
members group could help organize events and projects that go beyond
the "business" of the CSA.

For instance, if we are to have workshops on things like cooking or
perserving we would love members to help us organize these type of
things. But it doesn't have to be limited to this. At other CSA's
members are involved in all sorts of events that go beyond the
vegetable growing part of the farm: organizing tours and events for
schoolkids, potlucks, video screenings, educational presentations,
artistic and cultural events etc etc.

There are several spaces we can use at Camp Epworth, though we will
likely always have to negotiate $ for them. We don't have as many
resources at Clove Rd, but there is a beautiful space in the top of
the barn that, if cleaned up, would be a really lovely gathering space
for different events that won't cost anything.

We are going to try to do as many of these types of events as we can
this season, and with the more help we have from members, the more we
can do.

We are also planning a big fun-raiser sometime in the summer for Toby,
who has been so generous to us all with the use of her land. We are
thinking of music, and performance, and perhaps some kind of silent
auction with donated products and services. It will be great to get
some help with this, and will be a good way to give something back to
Toby financially.

As far as a meeting date, perhaps a regular weekday evening might be a
good thing to shoot for- like the first thurs of the month etc? In
any case, Sarah and I will be happy to come anytime, and since we are
likely to not have a large attendance for now, let's try to pick a day
for this first one that works for everyone who wants to come!

Thanks so much,
kevin

How about SAT March 22 --- the alternative would be next week, a little tough to plan for that, but we could do it on Thurs.  March 6  at 7:30.  Anna and Jorelle

Anna and Jorelle,
March 22 is good for me after 1:30 pm.  What time were you thinking of, and are you considering a meeting with or with out a potluck?
Also, I need your address and directions for how to get there.

Hi Fay, Jorelle would like 4-6 March 22, and that is fine with me. We could have tea and some light snacks, fruit/cheese. We are at 396 Main St., the belltower, in Rosendale. Park behind the Church which is between the Red Brick Tavern and the Cheese Shop. Jorelle's entrance is from the parking lot in the back of the church. Anna
