I have been reading this subject for weeks and find it's getting tedious.
I agree that A boards can be and are a nuisance. Although not
disabled yet — I have moderate osteoarthritis in both knees — and i
can see that when placed thoughlessly they can present a hazard.
However this is a commercial area, people have to make a living and we
all know how difficult that is now (and rest assured it will become
infinitely more difficult in the months to come).
People don't have to live here in the main — especially those who
make most noise — they can live in 'nice' residential suburbs.
I think the council seem to be taking the issue seriously. I find
some of the comments and language used immature and silly.

blitz announced in Hove
Dog owners who don't clean up their pets' mess are facing £80 fines.
Brighton and Hove's first crackdown on dog fouling offences is to be
launched in the Goldsmid ward, Hove.
Council officers have agreed to give staff the power to hand out
on-the-spot tickets.
Councillor Melanie Davis, who represents the area and has been pushing
for the pilot scheme to be introduced, said: "This is great news for
Hove. I constantly receive complaints from residents in the area about
the state of the pavements with regard to dog fouling.
"I have been working closely with residents, pet owners and local
police teams to push for tougher action.
"Hopefully this will encourage all dog walkers to take responsibility
for their pets.
"We will be working to ensure that the Conservative council reinvests
the income generated by these on the spot fines of up to £80 into
continued street-cleaning programmes."

New ruling on A-boards – have your say
Brighton and Hove City Council is looking at changing its policy on
traders' placements and A boards in order to comply with the
Disability Discrimination Act (DDA).
The council has taken some key points from the DDA and the Inclusive
Mobility Guidance, and with its legal team, has drawn up criteria meet
the requirements.
The council is proposing a clear passageway of 1.3 metres. It is also
proposing the introduction of criteria limiting the number of objects
that can be placed in a continuous line along the pavement. This will
better enable turning or crossing for people with mobility issues.
