I'm pretty sure you've accidentally erased your C partition using a software that performs secure deletions. Windows probably ran into an issue (and BSOD'd) when the eraser started touching Windows files.

I'm on Windows 10, drawing with a Huion 22in drawing monitor. In Affinity Designer and Photo, every time my stylus approaches the screen, the eraser tool is activated. This'll happen several times while trying to select another tool. Clip Studio and Photoshop don't seem to have this issue. Thanks.

It depends very much on the app you are using and how it it's eraser is set up, but OneNote does allow you to change the eraser type and, unless you reset it to defaults, it keeps your preference when you close and open it.

Just FWIW, you can further customize this by adding different eraser types to the Quick access toolbar so that you can switch back and forth if you with to. I generally use the stroke erase, but at times need a medium eraser so both of those are on my quick access bar. It is a fabulous way to increase your effectiveness in OneNote as almost any action/tool can be added to the bar.

I know this looks like an idiotic questions. But I need to know. Before shifting to Ubuntu in Microsoft word theres a eraser button in doc menu which I used several times. But in Ubuntu libreoffice I can't find anything like it. Is it exist in it? Or I have to use another one which have this button. Then please suggest me another program.

While erasers can be used to remove parts of the layer or selected areas of an artwork, they are more handy when you work with multiple layers of an artwork. Erasing upper layers can show through the lower layers.

If you use GIMP with a tablet, you may find it convenient to treat the reverse end of the stylus as an eraser. To make this work, all you need to do is click the reverse end on the Eraser tool in the Toolbox. Because each end of the stylus is treated as a separate input device, and each input device has its own separate tool assignment, the reverse end will then continue to function as an Eraser as long as you don't select a different tool with it.

After research, I discovered that in order to make sure a deleted file can't be recovered, you'll need to use a third-party shredding tool. Here's a look at three such free programs: Eraser, File Shredder, and Freeraser.

To remove files, these programs support various erasure methods or algorithms, including ones defined by the US government. Many such tools (free and paid) are available. In this article, we'll look at three free products: Eraser, File Shredder, and Freeraser. All three programs are compatible with any desktop version of Windows from XP to 10; Eraser and File Shredder also work with Windows Server (if I find out Freeraser works with the server edition, I will update the article with that information).

Freeraser is designed as a quick way to securely delete individual files. Rather than appear as a full-screen program or integrate itself into File Explorer, Freeraser floats on your Windows desktop as a trash can icon. You can drag and drop files you wish to delete or select them from the icon.

Download Freeraser from the Softonic software site. When you install the program, you can opt for a standard installation to put it on your hard drive or a portable installation to place it on an external drive or a USB stick. After installation, right-click on the program's desktop icon. From the pop-up menu, click the option to Select File To Destroy. You can select multiple files, though you can't select an entire folder. Open the files you selected and click Continue at the icon to delete those files (Figure F).

You can move the Freeraser icon anywhere on your desktop. Right-click the icon and you can change its size and transparency and choose to keep it always on top of open windows (Figure G). From the program's settings, you can also select the destruction mode (Fast, Forced, or Ultimate) and elect to run the program each time Windows starts.

I'm using Windows 10 with touchscreen laptop. I like the Sketchpad in Windows ink spacework. A lot of features including eraser, touch writing, etc.. is not available in Evernote ink note. I wonder if the development team could integrate the Windows ink spacework into the ink note.
