I have a big challenge ahead of me and all of us at The Regal Room and Bedford - and I am reaching out to you all and asking for some help in order to make our Bedford at SXSW project a wonderful success.
As you are all probably aware, I am taking The Bedford
to the USA to create a special stage for 18 artists to be seen and
heard at their very best, however there is quite a cost to this.
Our fundraising gig at indigo2 takes place on Friday January 29th
and I am asking everyone to really make a difference and buy some
tickets, not only will it be an astonishing show that brings together
some amazing acts, all on one stage, but every penny we make from
ticket sales goes into our "war chest" to make theSXSW shows achievable.
I
am also asking as many of you as possible to copy the attached
flier/info and send it to all your networks and mailing lists as
possible to help spread the word of what we are doing.

Taking place on Jan 29th
at indigo2 (in the 02 arena), there will be an astonishing line up of
talent and entertainment. All the money raised goes to helping create a very important
series of gigs for Bedford artists in the USA next year and tickets are only £20 (Available via ticketmaster)
Already

Noush Skaugen, Kristyna Myles, Katie V, Amateur Transplants, The Blues Circus and more

With a history of helping discover and develop acts such as Paolo Nutini,
Newton Faulkner, James Morrison, Amy Macdonald and many more, The Bedford
is excited to be taking it's passion for performance to the worlds most
important music festival, SXSW in Austin, Texas for 2010.
SXSW is probably the
most successful and highly regarded music industry conference and performance
festival in the world today.
Launched in
1987, it has grown into an annual showcase that attracts tens of thousands of
key music business delegates from around the world as well as giving performance
opportunities to over 1,800 artists, musicians and songwriters.
What was
originally a very "US-centric" concept has now evolved into an essential
international destination event that creates an unprecedented opportunity for
British acts to immerse themselves in the heart of both the US entertainment
business as well make invaluable connections with other territories.
The
Bedford will be producing 3 nights of shows that can actively make a
positive difference to an artists career all around the world, but we need your help.
The Bedford SXSW special fundraising show will be a celebration of some
extraordinary talent as well as a chance to support the Bedford in this ambitious project.
In addition, 10 lucky
ticket holders will win valuable prizes on the night and there will also be a
celebrity auction and lots of surprises throughout the evening.
Please help us make a difference by getting tickets and passing this on to everyone you know, TOGETHER WE ARE ONE.

In conjunction with the gig we are also about to announce an exciting new initiative to help with raising funds for SXSW...A
Pledge Campaign..so those of you who are unable to attend the show can
also make a contribution and get something uniquely valuable in return
Let me explain what we have in mind
www.pledgemusic.com
Pledge Music create tools and an infra-structure for artists to develop
new income streams to help fund making albums, videos etc.
The idea is to come up with a series of unique products and/or
experiences that friends, family and the general public will pledge
money for.
We are setting up a BEDFORD AT SXSW Pledge campaign that will be announced at our fundraiser gig on Jan 29th
We are already working on some really unusual and exciting things like:
Portrait Painted by Xavier Pick the official UK War Artist
Flight in Aircraft with Tony as pilot + a performer + an acoustic gig at the airfield + Video of trip + CD signed
Bedford show in your own home or choice of venue
Write a song with Tony Moore
Photo Session with Mike Prior + a well known artist
Day in the recording studio with Lucie Silvas
VIP Visit to Abbey Road Studios
Set list signed + Exclusive Drawing of artists from indigo show
Meal for 4 cooked and served in your own home with acoustic entertainment
Dance re-mix of one of your songs by The Sound Brothers
Flight in Vintage Harvard Plane that used to be owned by Gary Numan at GoodwoodWrite a song with Jamie Hartman (who wrote "All Time Love" for Will Young)Collection of signed set lists and memorabilia from Bobby Long's European tour
We are just fine tuning and confirming the pledge items so far, plus we are adding more in time for the launch.
You will be able to make your pledge on line at the pledge music website after 29th January.
I
would also ask anyone who has something that they think would be
valuable enough to donate to the campaign, to contact me directly and
let me know.
Maybe you are a manager/promoter and can offer two
tickets to a big concert with backstage passes and a meet "n" greet
with the artist, or maybe you can offer a role in a new pop video (or
film !)
I know that so many of you are creative and imaginative
and I am convinced that you will be able to come up with lots of
original and desirable pledge items..! Thank you in advance.
=====================================================================================
Are you an "Angel"?
Finally,
if you don't have anything to pledge, but are committed enough to make
a donation to the cause, please contact me directly as well, your
generosity will be gratefully and graciously received.

In life there are only 2 kinds of decision you can make, those based on fear and those based on faith.
Fear based decisions revolve around maintaining the status quo, about trying to resist change, about the fear of the unknown.
They
hold you back, they keep you in a state of anxiety because life IS
ABOUT change, it is natural and WILL happen no matter how much you try
to avoid it, deny it or
ignore it.
Continuously making fear
based decisions holds you back, keeps the doors of opportunity closed
and doesn't allow the Universe to help you.
Faith based
decisions revolve around having implicit trust in the perfect beauty
and ingenuity of the Universe to GIVE YOU unexpected miracles along
your path. To make faith based decisions liberates you and allows you
to progress and grow spiritually, emotionally, mentally and physically.
It gives you happiness from within, peace emanating from the constant
re-assurances that arrive in every moment of your life. All that you
need will be there when you need it - you just won't know how and when
it will be delivered...but that is the role of the Universe, to
surprise you and constantly remind you that TOTAL faith means leaving
behind worry and stress and embracing calm and utter belief.
After all, as I have said many times...there is no such thing as
fairlure, merely a different set of results from the ones you
expected...
be safe...
