The router is connected directly to the modem. The modem is currently the
gateway (it's one of those modem-cum-router things). I loomed through the
router configuration pages late last night and it's possible to set up multiple
static routes to the boxes connected to the router. I'm at work now so I
cannot test my theory but what will happen if I set up two static routes with
my box first then the modem. Will that mean that my box will be the default
gateway until it goes down then packets get routed through the modem?
