Has anyone been installing Windows 7 on IBM MT-M 8212-1QU small form factor computers? Our technicians have been running into an Unknown Device issue that looks like an ACPI driver. Properties shows:

ACPI/NSC1200
*NSC1200

According to this thread:

http://forums.lenovo.com/t5/A-M-and-Edge-Series-ThinkCentre/ThinkCentre-M52-Series-Type-8215-All-Models-windows-7-32-bit-no/td-p/462377

The driver is a TPM driver, but isn't supported unless you run the Windows XP driver in compatibility mode.

Has anyone got this working in Windows 7?

Thanks in advance,

Charles

Hi,

Back when we still deployed this model, we disabled this device in the
bios. I believe it was in the security tab TPM or disable the security
components. I still have a few around here I can check if you need. To
my knowledge the TPM security stuff is useless for non corporate
environments anyway. We disabled under XP as well...just for reference.
