Dear Refurbishers, Does anyone have a favorite chemical removal tool for asset tags and stickers? I have used white board cleaner in the past, but I need a better solution. We are working on a large number of iBooks that have very sticky asset tags and other labels. What do I use to take this gunk off plastic? Thanks! Goo-gone, rubbing alcohol 70% fine 90% better. We use goo-gone for most
stickers but some use adhesive that reacts better to alcohol. We also
use post paint stripper prep solvent for very very specific issues like
paint marker and some non alcohol based markers. I would not recommend
this for those unfamiliar with heavy solvents power on plastics and
safety concerns needed when handling.

Acetone or naptha (Coleman stove fuel), but both need light gloves and will evaporate quickly if the container isn't kept sealed.
Apparently Avon "skin-so-soft" does everything in the universe though. http://www.kitchencraftsnmore.net/skinsosoft.html
