Does anyone sell and ship their old laptop batteries? If so to whom?
There was a gentleman at the 2011 refurbishers conference who gave a great talk about, well, batteries. I thought he might have at least provided free shipping for recycling the batteries with him.

Cheers

Christian,

Once you remove the batteries from the laptops they become hazardous waste and must have the terminals taped.

We have found that if we leave the batteries in the laptops to be recycled, they are not hazardous waste.  You should be receiving money for your recycled laptops through your Recycler either through CalRecycles or for E-Scrap.

Thank you. Pat, we don't make anything from ewaste- we donate it all to a local non-profit across the street: They make to put their developmentally disabled clients to work around town. We'd like to get going on that, but we don't have the space. Thanks for the head up, as usual.

Yes, Sarah, it was Batteries Plus. Thank you.

Eric, we would love that info.
