A while back I mentioned a BASH shell script we were using at the
project to quickly get information about monitors. The script added a
barcode based on the monitor's queried serial number. I've recently
updated the script to include pricing based on the size of the monitor
(which is how we price our monitors). All of this is easily
changeable.
The script is only Xorg compatible (we use Xubuntu which is still
Xorg), no Wayland at this point. I've posted a bit more about it here
if anyone is interested in using it to batch process monitors using a
Linux system. As mentioned this was tested on *buntu systems, but I'm
sure could be ported to other Xorg-based systems pretty easily.
It uses the LaTeX language as an intermediary before producing a PDF.
An example of the paper we attach to the monitors can be seen in this
blog post:

Please let me know if the script comes in handy at your project. It's
helped us put monitors into our POS quicker.
Regards,
Charles
