Hello Refurbishers,
Hello refurbishers, I am looking for a few organizations who would like
to try out software I developed that creates Digital Device Passports
for used computers and other electronics.
What’s a digital device passport? It is an online, public, record of
the computer’s hardware specs, hardware test results, photos, and the
certificate of data destruction. It gives proof to buyers and donation
recipients that the computer has been tested and is fully functional.
It also gives proof to companies that their surplus computers have been
received, processed and data wiped. See an example of a Device Passport

Even if you don’t see value in the passports, you might find these other
features useful:
• Automatically captures computer hardware specifications and uploads
them to an online portal.
• It creates labels with hardware specs
• Wipes hard drives and creates a blockchain-backed certificate of data
destruction.
Digital Product Passports (like my Device Passports) are becoming
popular, especially in Europe. There is an organization called CIRPAS
that is leading this initiative, www.cirpassproject.eu.

Yes. It runs in RAM (Windows PE environment). So the PC or Mac does
not need an operating system or hard drive to run it.
