to Refresh Twin Cities
Part of the mission of RefreshTC is to raise the standards of web
development in the Twin Cities area. And we'll definetly get more work
done by doing, not just talking.

So with Drew's blessing, I propose tackling a rather large project with
our not-quite-well-organized group. RefreshTC should find a non-profit
metro organization and redo their site. Then offer the new site to
them, free of charge.

I don't want to take bread out of anyone's mouth - part of the reason
of limiting this to non-profit websites.

I suggest we redo this site - http://www.animalhumanesociety.org/
It needs text (for SEO), can me more cosmetically pleasing, and pages
of adopted pets shouldn't yield this -
http://www.animalhumanesociety.org/animal_details_print.asp?idnum=278342&code=cats.

Please offer suggestions for other local sites that we could redo.
We'll then let our psuedo-democracy work to determine which site we
tackle. From there, we'll figure out who wants to do design, coding,
etc etc etc.

Anxious to hear your thoughts - I really can't think of a better way to
kick off an organization than doing some great high-publicity charity
work.

I agree 100%. I'm definitely interested in getting things started and I
think you selected a great site example. It needs a lot of help.

I don't think it would take much to get us organized. Once we find out
who is interested in participating I bet we could get started with a
group meeting and a basecamp site ;)

I'd move to add Lifetrack and 180 Degrees to our voting list:
